Exactly what I'm getting at in my last post.

Maybe if we had an IQ test for voters politicians would actually have to speak intelligently to the public.

I do think it was shameful the DNC had Bill Clinton as part of their convention.

But you're completely cool with Obama giving a political speech on Biden's behalf at John Lewis' funeral?

Which part? YOU somehow deflected onto OMB & conservatives that this was a direct result of them which is a total cop out. The Irony is anywhere else in the world, especially in a socialist/Marxist regime these POS would already be in a shallow grave or a hole to never see the light of day.

And you don’t vote, right? You just post for hours about politics on internet message boards without voting

The ones they show on Fox news, sure. Showing a bunch of peaceful marches all over the country every night doesn't glue viewers to the screen though.

Why would that bother me, especially if it didn't bother the Lewis family? Obama is no longer president, and can give a speech anywhere he's asked to.

I think we are just continuously seeing the downside of 2 parties and it's only getting worse. National politics is no longer "I believe in" it's "well they believe in this, gross, we don't though."
It's been that way for DECADES. This isn't anything new. What we didn't have in the past that we have now, is two things:

1. social media
2. the news media, actors, musicians, etc. didn't collectively decide to lean one way and to push an agenda with everything going that one way

I vote as often as I'm able to. I missed one election this year because my registration changed hadn't be processed in time after my move, but even then I didn't know enough about any candidate to vote anyways.

Care to address any position I've taken or are you just trying to weirdly belittle me?

Oh I don't know, maybe it's an issue of showing a little human decency and respect?

Has the Lewis family spoken out against it as being indecent? If not, why would it bother you, or anyone? And what does it have to do with bringing up the potential illegality of holding a political event at the White House?

Oh absolutely. #1 right there is the main cause of a lot of problems in society today and I think #2 is a symptom of that as well. Social media gave us more access to the beliefs of athletes and celebrities and the media has turned that into news so it just becomes a never-ending cycle.

that really shouldn't matter. because none of them should be anything other than peaceful.

IMO - it's not a 'peaceful protest' when you show up with a helmet and body armor. and the first time a laser is pointed, a rock/bottle/brick/Molotov is thrown, or property is damaged it should be shut down by detaining, arresting, and charging everyone there regardless of their involvement.

What undecided voters do you really think are watching what's happening in this country and will say "yep, Dem is clearly the way to go here?"

Plenty of people see shite like that and don't see it as an indictment on an entire political party. Y'all do here because liberals is da devil.
SO Harris publicly promoting these actions and saying they should continue isn't an indictment on an the entire political party she represents? She's running as VP to Biden for the Democratic party and SHE says this activity should continue. What the hell man?

Registered independent here. I'll be voting Trump and it's almost 100% because of the lefts behavior...because of shite like this. I'm repulsed by and tired of it.

This is the crux of it. I abhor this shite going on, but no, the fringe left does not constitute a large number of America. They just don't.
That said, they have the perception of representing a large number due to social media, mainstream media, and unfortunately, the democratic party has repeated the mistake that the republican party made in past decades.

R's went with the religious right, but the religious right had a rather loud fringe that wanted to die on really fricking stupid hills. Such silly shite as Dungeons and Dragons are of the devil Obviously, this backfired, and the R's had to start moving away from the albatross the zealous part of the religious right represented.

The D's have repeated this, except replace the religious right zealots with the modern day SJW/fringe left. They're not large in number, sure, but when you attach a megaphone to them (again, see social/mainstream media) and a political party that has a very nasty tendency to pander to them, and here we are. When the D's will start moving away like the R's had to do is to be determined.
