A couple of times a month I have to send some stuff out for work in those big manila envelopes and every time I lick it I feel like I'm back in the stone ages. Surely we've come far enough as a people that we no longer have to lick something and then send it to someone else to open.

That's not even taking into effect the DNA that you are giving out for someone to do God knows what with.

I know they have those little sponge things but that just seems gay.

Is everyone else still licking?

Take your tin foil hat off bud.

Use tape.

My grandpa use to peel off the glue from multiple envelopes, put them in a jar on the stove and melt it to make glue.

He said it was a much higher quality glue than say Elmer’s. I never really questioned him. But he always had a bottle of Envelope Glue.

We use envelopes that have the peel away sticky strip.

Those things you put mother's day cards in. I've always just folded the flap inside the pouch.

I just use tape because 1.) it's easier 2.) less likely that the envelope will come open again, and 3.) I don't have to taste glue.

I finger blast your mom briefly and then use her moisture to seal my envelopes. Still lips, but unsure if it counts as licking.

Do what the Unabomber did-

have your dog lick the envelops instead.

If it’s getting sticky when you lick it, you’re doing it wrong.

I honestly never thought of using tape. It kind of feels like cheating but I may give it a try.

I licked a bunch of those big Manila envelopes the other day and afterwards I felt sick....no telling how many horse hoofs and cow horns I swallowed.

I have since gone to Office Depot and got a little sponge to wet the glue with.
