Just out of curiosity, what do people who lament the south's loss think the the Confederacy would be in 2020?

Surely you don't think it would be some Utopia.

Honestly, can't be stated more strongly.
How do you keep your confidence (and possibly rank lol) after your army just bumps into the enemy?
It was just meant to be.
The South's attack 1st day wasn't strong enough to defeat the North. So even though the North retreated, it helped buy some time for reinforcements and it also gave them high ground that had terrible terrain for anyone trying to advance up it, especially under fire.

La. committed two whole brigades and two field artillery battalions during a time when half the state was occupied by the enemy. Even so, the La. Tiger brigade captured Cemetery Hill on Day 2. On Day 2, it was the Texans and Alabamians who couldn't take their objective of Little Round Top.

So you are totally wrong - and drunk.

North Carolinians

Spilled more blood in the Civil War than any other state in the Union. The majority of Confederate casualties at Gettysburg were of men from North Carolina. I wouldn't knock them if I were you. They fought hard and they fought well.

They weren't. Texans were fighting right alongside them.

If International Harvester would have been around in 1850, The NBA scores tonight would only be in the 40’s

East Tennessee was also a Union stronghold, and I believe for a time, was occupied by the Confederate Army.

As someone who lived in East Tennessee for a year I feel the need to point out that this is in no way indicative of how we feel in the area today about the current state of affairs.

Currently, people in E. Tenn don't feel that it was a Union stronghold that was, for a time, occupied by the Confederates?
