Ahh frick guys...
141 MPH winds at the surface, 150 MPH winds, on average, in the last 150 meters, and 163 MPH winds, on average, in the last 500 meters.
What does this mean? It means the winds are continuing to strengthen above the surface and typically will mix into the surface winds eventually.
Also, the NHC makes a reasonable assumption that the hurricane hunters aren't always sampling the STRONGEST of the winds, so it's likely there are even stronger surface winds than the 141 measured here.
Is that good Rummy?
