Clearly he's looking for China to take the brunt, as any good American should.

Windy.com
Just uses different weather models to produce wind maps. The link that you posted was the Euro. You can switch to the GFS to see a different output

Sorry to ask a likely dumb question but the 100 miles from center ... is that total or to each side?
That’s from the immediate center to the East in this case. The NHC will break it down by quadrant. For example, Laura on has hurricane force winds in the NE quadrant right now, and they extend 40 nautical miles from the center fix.
On a related note, it would be nice if we didn’t have to constantly convert knots and nautical miles to mph and statute miles. The damn discussions and data are still written for sailors.

I like the early AM landfall
Like there to be light outside
If they are right, landfall will occur in the dark.

If the eye makes landfall along the TX/LA border then BR is roughly 150-170 miles from the center of the storm give or take.

Yep. I prefer daylight hour landfills.

does the path change if it doesn't get as strong as the models are thinking?

Thoughts on accuracy of Windy.com?
I love their visuals and they’re pretty good on some stuff, but I wouldn’t put faith in their storm guidance.

Why all the downvotes?? Lol
Prayers for everyone in the path. I’m wondering cause I’ll be at work starting tomorrow and through the weekend

How worried should Houston be? Outside of flooding - which is going to happen regardless, but being on west side is better than east right? or is that a myth.
