Only if you ignore the fact that Disney's entire animated library is on that streaming service. Does it have woke programming? Sure. But it also has The Little Mermaid and a bunch of other kid-friendly shite to occupy the children while mommy and daddy go upstairs to the bedroom.

And ESPN has a ton of live sports content (minus Covid). So what?

It sounds to me like the woke content is just a lazy excuse.

Is this the thread where we blame it on being woke while ignoring Disney+ subs, an equally if not more woke platform, are up to 100+ million?

Perhaps ESPN subs are down because there has been a cord cutting trend in the works for nearly a decade?

ETA - I'm not arguing against the fact ESPN's quality has dropped nor am I arguing against the fact they're quite liberal. I simply think blaming the sub losses on that is ignoring a much larger and more impactful trend.

Sure, and ESPN and this board have made it pretty clear the target demo is not the average MSB poster.

Disney+ comparison is asinine. Disney+ has had inflated numbers because a lot of people got a one year free subscription. Compare that when people have to start paying for it. I had read that something like 40%-50% Weren’t paying customers just customers

"Covid" is the key word here.

people aren't dropping Disney+ anytime soon. Just more proof that people don't really care about the wokeness, they're just trying to save a few bucks over cable options.

I was wondering about that, about to cancel my cable sports package and add Disney+ instead

Does that count as ESPN losing a subscriber or not?

FWIW, Disney stock is up about 9% on the day right now. Around a $10 increase per share.

What's up with politards posting pics of Hello Games devs? This is like the 6th thread I've seen a picture of them.

We beefing with England or something? I'm genuinely confused.
