I have lived with good neighbors and bad ones. A lesson I learned was :
Life is much easier when you get along with neighbors.
IMHO

Round up would work, but spreading rye grass seeds in the shape of a dick would be even better.

It will be the gift that keeps on giving.

Dude, I totally agree with you neighbor being a darsh for getting upset about the "pile of debris", but do not create an unnecessary argument with your neighbor. You literally have to see them everyday. Sometimes being the bigger man means biting your tongue and moving on. You will always know you are in the right. I'd save this for another day, like when the dumb kid inevitably parks in your yard rutting it up or some shite like that. Fixing a fence and a demand letter is pretty petty.

Had a feud years ago with a pretty crappy neighbor. Bad dude who was perpetually angry. Let my emotions get the better of me one afternoon when mowing grass. He proceeded to yell at me and call cops. Cops sided with me. Nothing in the end.
Fast forward about a year later, he got angry at his wife, shot and killed her, then himself in their home. I’ll never forget the daughter running in the street after screaming for help. With how angry he was perpetually, that event could have been me getting shot a year earlier.

Long story short: don’t perpetuate the fight. Make concessions. Don’t worry about the fence. Pay attention to “his space” in the future. Life’s too short.

You’ve reached your limit on using that word in one post.

The best way to feud (or another f word) with a neighbor is to be ridiculously nice to them whenever you see them, but don't ever do anything they ask you to do.

Wait, what? I didn't read the rest of that wall of text but you are not required to have a fence unless you have a pool. The normal neighborly thing to do is to split a shared fence 50/50 but you can let them know that you are thinking about taking it down.

Start taking down YOUR fence, every other day take out a board, then slowwwwwwly take it down one board at a time over the next few months and watch the heart palpitations.
