Or are the cops (local and federal) just stuck out there to take a beating for as long as the rioters feel like it?

I tune into feeds every now and then and don't see near enough rioter violence being met with actual consequences-- arrests and chargers. I see clips of cops doing runs at rioters then just shoving them down and moving on. Shouldn't they be locked up? Or is there no crime they're actually committing?

I know what all our preferred response would be; go full crackdown yada yada yada. But is there a legal path for this to be done without the city/state stepping in? And since democrat mayors are hellbent on spiting Trump, do they just let their cities burn every night for the next few months?

I believe the only way is to put curfews in place and arrest and charge every single person out there. Tear gas and beanbags don't do enough to stop them from coming back night after night. But I simply don't see that happening anywhere riots are taking place.

Realistic? No

Because what needs to happen that won't happen is for the well armed people NOT in the cities to roll in............clean fricking house...............and roll out while cops step aside.

I think you’re right. But we’re gonna need more jails.

I've been surprised there hasn't been any sniping action. Especially in Portland where the mob has shown up in the same place 60 days in a row.

At what point do they become domestic terrorist; thereby, allowing law enforcement to use lethal force? I think this is where you would be able to see them actually be able to use force to stop them, and actually be able to arrest them without the Dem mayors stepping in.

Somewhat intuitively - sufficient retaliatory violence, plus higher level law enforcement operations to identify, capture and prosecute the leaders and organizers, including RICO action against them to seize their resources would definitely work.

It worked against LCN and these pussies are not 1/100th the men that LCN used to have.

You know those water trucks that have the high pressure flow? Every big city needs at least 10 of them and you roll them out every time a riot starts. Start blasting them with that high pressure spray. That shite knocks people over on the ground . I would start with that.

IF the mayors, city councilmen, and most importantly local prosecutors wont even press charges, or even allow a 24 holding in jails, why in the hell would a local officer feel at all empowered to even care?

The officers have been neutered by their own officials, who were put into office by the same people they swore to protect

Other than collecting a paycheck and the sheer fun of cracking open marxists skulls to see them bleed, what on earth would inspire any cop to really give a frick at this point?

Look, if there police went in and showed the protesters what is legally or at least allowable and what is not, and enforced the was not, the pretests would be fine.

So yes, there is a way to do that.

You place a curfew in place. Everyone outside after curfew, even walking on the sidewalk with a sign, gets arrested.

You enforce that. Large gatherings get surrounded and everyone gets arrested.

If you arrest someone twice, they are held on a more serious charge.

The key is to hit this on the head early and clearly delineate what is allowed and what isn't.

It's like you treat children because that's what these people are like.

The problem is Seattle or Portland where these children have been allowed to do whatever they want for decades.

So I understand. They need to being in the national guard because you need a new parent to take over and show what the rules are.

But yes, look at many cities. They had riots early on, everyone was arrested, people were made aware what would be allowed and what was not allowed and life quickly returned to normal.

Lethal force is the only way to stop it.

Stop with the extreme unemployment benefits and open things up so they'll have to go back to work

Yes.

Federal law enforcement officials on the ground charging everyone blocking roadways with obstructing commerce. If they have a gun or are actively rioting, pile on the charges. They can deal with a federal charge, federal judge, etc.

They are doing this with gun violence in Chicago as of Friday, and it's already yielding some results.

If that doesn't curb it quickly, there's other things that can probably be done after the election. It would get ugly.

Wrong. Very easy. Arrest the lawbreakers when you see them breaking the law. Very easy if you are a republican... yeah unrealistic to think this could happen if the people in charge are ds dims.

This I get. But again that requires the governor to say yes, this has gone on long enough. I believe the governors of Washington and Oregon have no intention of doing that. The federal officers are very limited in what they can do, so it seems like they just have to go out and take a beating.

I was thinking of this. Trump probably has a lot more power he's not currently using because he does have to play into a reelection bid. On November 4th, all bets could be off.
