What is the "cheapest" thing you have done?

My first job was part-time at Quiznos in high school at 6/hr. I think I would make $175-200 per paycheck and gas in 2008 was hitting $3 so I made very little after filling up.

I would have a friend call in and order a "pick up" sandwich at the end of the night, and when we closed, split it with whoever I was working with. Quiznos was not cheap.

One time in college, I paid for gas with all the coins I could find in my car. It came out to $1.14 and my car died in n the driveway of my house.

So, I'd say I nailed it.

Tipped a cent at George's (overpass) because the girl taking the order was an absolute bitch. Apparently answering two questions regarding a burger was asking for her to lay down her life or perform rocket surgery or something.

Look, I'm already giving you my order, making my coke, picking up my food and bringing it, my drink and everything I need back to my table. I even buss my table. Only thing I'm not doing is cooking it. Just try to be pleasant and helpful at the one damn thing you're doing. That's not to much to ask.

You have confused being cheap with larceny

I have a buddy who was really cheap back in school. He would do this inside a fast food place. If he went to a drive thru, he would basically beg for free shite every time. He would order water and ask them to change it to a soda at the window, ask if they had cold fries he could have for free, etc.

It was very embarrassing to be with him but I swear it worked more times than it didn't. He always got free and/or extra food or drinks.

At least you don't have to wonder about where you're going when you die.

One time in college me and a buddy wanted to go out (was living in Tigerland), but we didn't have any money. I had a cousin in Port Allen who owed me $20. Called him and he said I could come get it, meet him at Jacks. On top of the bridge (on the way down thank God) my buddy's truck ran out of gas. We coasted down to the Chevron right on the corner and searched his truck floorboard and managed to find 25 cents. Not a quarter, 25 cents. We made it Jacks and back, put $5 in the truck and went to the Tiger with $15.

Make a couple of boxes of Kraft Mac&Cheese and throw in a couple of cans of tuna. If you don't mind eating the same thing at every meal you're set for 2-3 days for about tree fiddy.

I wore an ascot instead of a necktie to Marilyn Van Der Veekle's debutante ball. It caused quite the stir.
