terrible comparison. Not sure which you are referencing, but no one has tried to squat on Lady A.

He should have squated the domain names

Owning the rights to WashingtonRedtails.com or whatever would seem to have a higher resale value than squating a trademark you'll have to fight for in court

You sure?
This just says he owns the trademark to the name

He’s not going to get “paid”
He’ll probably get a few thousand

Why did the WWF have to change to WWE? The Worldwide Wildlife Fund for Nature was never going to be confused with World Wrestling Federation.

Pretty dumb

I think that had more to do with Vince wanting to turn the WWF into more of an overarching entertainment business than just a wrestling league (movies, tv, cartoons, etc etc) and going more main stream as they went public and cut out the attitude era stuff

Okay, I still think it was pretty dumb. Also, he cut what was the best thing going at the time (Attitude Era). Been pretty downhill since then.

Honestly, I really don't know. I'm sure when they went public, they made quite a bit. I quit watching years ago.

Don't have the talent like they did from the late 90's/early 2000's. It was entertaining then

It was an agreement of the parties. Not confusion but WWF (conservation) wasn't too fond of WWF (wrestling) and their brand of "sports entertainment".

It also allowed Vince more ability to trademark WWE variants.
