How could Drew Brees redeem himself?

The problem for Drew is that he stated what he really believes the first time, as it was obviously his unsolicited opinion. The progressives still hate him because they know his opinion hasn't actually changed, and conservatives lost any respect for him for caving to the mob and showing he has no balls.
If he said something like "I take back my apology, what I said the first time was how I really feel, and caving to social media pressure made me not feel genuine to myself. I really do think the flag should be respected and everyone who's offended by my opinion can talk to their therapist about it."
Would he redeem himself somewhat in your view?

He can reverse his stance and retire
Maybe he can ride off on a horse with the US flag yelling Freedom like William Wallace

Reverse his stance and retire is the only correct answer.

Standing for the National Anthem with his head held high would be a start.

Retire an hour before kickoff on opening day.

I have been a life long Saint fan and big fan of Drew Brees but have lost respect for both, as well as the NFL. Not that anyone gives a shite, but I will not watch an NFL game this season.

Take the first snap, then retire. Got to get that money baby

He could throw for 600 yards and nine touchdowns to win the Super Bowl for New Orleans this year and say all lives matter as they hand him the SB MVP trophy.
That would be a start.
That would be a start.

Walking into the Locker room and bitch slapping Malcolm Jenkins.

He could retire right now. Go off on the pieces of shite who tore him down, and start campaigning for the 2020 Trump team. Anything short of that, frick him. He has to kiss that TV contract goodbye and maybe Trump hooks him up.

He needs to make a porno with a predominately African American cast.

Sure that would work.

His boss, Gayle Benson, would virtue signal his arse to driving a truck delivering Beer Formally Known as Dixie!

To me, he can’t.
I’m done with the Saints until this group of players are gone.
I’ll get league pass and hop/skip between interesting games and keep up with LSU players in the NFL, but at this time in my life I am not a Saints fan.

He can't redeem himself. He managed to do what so many before him should have taught him not to do
The people that were mad about his stance don't believe his apologies. So they still are pissed at him. Meanwhile. He managed to alienate the people who would have normally been a fan
It's so insanely stupid given the fact that he's like the 10,000 example.
