maybe dude. rents might lower a bit but there's not going to be a dramatic shift away from city life, that is my argument. zoomers love cities and I don't see why you'd think they want to live in burbs

Once again, a thread where a bunch of people living in Baton Rouge shite on living in one of the greatest cities on the planet. Always makes me laugh.

Agreed - I wouldn’t want the risk. You’ll always be looking for roommates to fill empty beds.

Not nearly as laughable as a dolt talking up NYC and very obviously hasn't visited other major cities in the world.

A truly great city for the ultra-rich. No doubt about it.

Wat? Are you saying NYC isn’t one of the world’s greatest cities?

NYC is amazing if you are young and single, married with no kids or married with kids under 5. Our oldest starts kindergarten next year so we are out and the timing couldn’t have been better.

To act as if the contagion is limited to urban areas is being short sighted.

It’s mostly the urban areas. Georgia is turning looney blue bc of Atlanta.

It's not nearly as up there as some would like to believe but then again I've been out in the world.

This is the thing that most people are not even thinking about...yet. What is coming for all of us is real. Real bad. We still have basically 10X 2008 yet to go

Have a friend that continued to pay her rent in the UES throughout all of this while working remotely at her families house in NJ. She’s hoping that the landlord is willing to renegotiate next month on the new lease.

Where do you live and did your kid not get into a good elementary?

Our oldest is 5 and we have no plans to leave until the end of elementary school. We’re in the UWS.

We were zoned for 158 which is one of the better schools. We just felt that the public schools in the town in CT are much better and we will have 8x more space.

We were on the UES

Is this another thread where we are gleeful about the decline of American cities but then get pissed about liberals moving to the Sun Belt?
