Meth makes you skinny, maybe I should try that like you did. That along with your prison meal plan and we wouldn't have a fat problem.

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately, this link provides zero information about the topic at hand. We are talkin about decreases in metabolism as one ages.

This is a lazy effort on your part.

Do better.

Whatever scale you are going by is a stupid scale and you shouldnt take it to heart.

For example, LSU’s 5 star RB, John Emery Jr. that will be a sophomore next year is exactly 6feet and 216lbs. Clyde Edwards Helaire is 5’8” 210. Probably 50-60 pounds overweight by your scale. You have to consider the body fat index which considers hip/waist circumference and arm size and all that jazz or else youll be calling people who work out overweight by your “calculations.”

True. But generally I bet we can all agree that for the average person, and certainly the average message board poster, 6 foot 216 is carrying a pretty fair amount of beer weight.

I sometimes wonder the same thing. I spend 30-40 weekends per year either on a boat or on the beach so I’m a bit self conscious of how I look with no shirt on. With that said, if my clothes tend to get a little tight or I see a pic where I’m not looking like your wife would want to frick me, I cut back and get my shite in order.

I don’t belong to a gym but I cycle, run and lift at home as much as possible. Diet is the biggest obstacle for fatties.

Right, because some much of the general public are elite athletes. Yes, there are exceptions to the rule but not many of the 300 million Americans are playing big time division 1 football

Yeah man, most 40 year old dudes that are 220 are just carrying around a bunch of mass, not fat as frick.

That's definitely it. That's the reason diabetes has tripled in like 20 years.

A bunch of guys that haven't seen the inside of gym or their dick in at least a decade think they're weight experts. If you arent carrying a bunch of fat, 200 lbs is pretty heavy for 6 foot. A basketball player, isnt carrying that much muscle.

You claim to be a fitness expert but yet you think 6ft 216 is 40 pounds overweight for someone that lifts and has a lot of muscle mass that’s clearly not the case, but you wouldn’t know anything about that now would you?

Wont argue that at all. I just say my point because Ive seen many posters here talk about knowing who is overweight by only height and weight over the years and I shake my head every time. However, If you were betting on it, I agree that you’d consider the 6foot 215 guy to be a little husky vs an athlete.

they are playing division 1 football because they are good athletes, not because they look good carrying around 215 pounds at 6feet. My point is being missed, clearly

Everyone not overweight thinks the same thing. How? I think the same “How?” When I see a show of a doctor removing a 60 pound tumor on someone’s back. When it was 5, 10, 20, 30.....How do you ignore that?

I guess it’s ignored the same way a cat hoarder may not pick up cat shite while bringing in 50 cats or more into their house. Which one ignored the first turd and then the second and then the 4000th turd?

I hate to tell ya but I drink and eat what I want on the weekends and just use a little discipline Monday thru Thursday. So by your estimate I’ll have 12 additional years of good food and drink

Let's do the math:

Me: 365 enjoyable days a year, or 3,650 in a decade.

You: 156 (3x52) enjoyable days a year... or 1,560 in a decade.

3,650 - 1,560 = 2,090 enjoyable days that I gain over you, per decade.

Your extra 12 years will yield a grand total of 1,872 enjoyable days.

But I've already lapped you.
So, in the end, I got more enjoyable days than you.

Practically everyone struggles with weight at some point in their life. It’s part of being human.

I know that I eat out of boredom and because I like to eat and watch TV at the same time, especially at night.

I will never give up WaffleHouse, hamburgers, pizza, Mexican food, etc. Because I love these things. The key is finding a balance between the things I love to eat and exercising and eating “right” 50-75% of the time.

Bc the majority of these people experience severe trauma and it goes unresolved.

Food is used as a coping mechanism and the cycle repeats itself.

It’s psychological and behavioral

It is, but different strokes for different folks. Personally I don’t think physical fitness is always associated with vanity as he suggests. Success starts with your getting your physical health and fitness in order.
