She was ignoring the host's focus on Washington and referring back to her own mention of Confederate generals.
Either she didn't watch the speech (she didn't) or she is deliberately mischaracterizing the Trump speech because he specifically didn't talk about Confederates, as the political left assumed he would.
This is the kind of political move by Trump that would be brilliant if he hadn't already ruined his reputation - Democrats can claim he spent his speech talking about Confederates because most people will just assume that's true...because he has spent so much time defending Confederates.

She had that answer prepared long before a question was asked. In fact, the question she was asked was going to be irrelevant to her response no matter what it was.
