Hopefully, one of the media members in attendance has the balls to ask him
LOL. You realize the media is about 90-95 percent liberal at this point? They’re not going to ask because they believe Edwards is doing the right thing and they’re good with ignoring social distancing if it’s a cause in which they believe.

Update
28 more days in Phase 2. Its time for the Louisiana legislators to step up and do SOMETHING. This is a joke.
What a mother fricking chode. I feel so embarrassed that my state elected this idiot as Governor, but I guess we do this quite often.

Agreed, but watching trends on hospitalizations has always been a measurement for phase progression. Recent trends are not positive.
What trends are you referring to?
I can't find the hospitalization data. Can you point to that?

No they’re not.
You’re holding on to the hope that there will be some sort of mass immunity through contraction and it’s not going to happen with the governmental restrictions in place.
How is it good that a 21 year old kid catches an incurable illness and then causes everyone that lives with him to have to quarantine?

I would bet there were more people in bars than attending protests in the same time frame.
Also, among the protests locally, it seemed as if most were wearing a mask.

We get it - your daughter has some defect and everyone is supposed to cower inside to cater to you.

Totally anecdotal, so I must qualify this, but ...
I have a very close friend who is a pulmonary specialist in the BR area. As of last week, he said the hospitals are wide open and he is not seeing anything in his practice that is concerning at all. His personal view is that there is no legitimate medical reason to stay in Phase 2.

So there is a couple days increase in hospitalizations, so we extended it 28 fricking days. Makes sense

It’s not just that. Even if my kid didn’t have bronchitis.
If someone get covid, the people that they came into contact with are suppose to quarantine for 2 weeks! People have jobs. People have obligations. No one has time to quarantine.
The bars are not enforcing the guidelines so kids are being kids. They don’t look past their nose so I have to put more of this on the bars than the kids but there’s blame to go around.

What did you do during the Swine Flu 'Pandemic' ?
That's what I thought, you had no clue it was around.

Prove you’re statement is correct, first.

That is kind of my point. I don’t know if mine is correct anymore than he knows his point is correct. Yet, only one of the two groups of people were called out by JBE.

Is it 28 days from this coming Friday which is the end of the third week of phase two? So that would make 7 weeks in phase 2 if I’m thinking right?

.@LouisianaGov: we WILL NOT move to phase 3 at end of week Phase 2 will remain in place for 28 days when new proclamation is issued later this week
I’m guessing the 28 days will start Thursday, that’s when he does his “proclamation”
The Monday before the 28th day will be the press conference advising if we are moving to phase 3
Does that make sense?
Monday is the announcement
Thursday he does the proclamation
Friday is start date of new phase
Also, found this on Twitter

We are going to be more active now with going on courtesy visits to businesses @LouisianaGov says

Yes thanks. So were looking at the end of July basically.
I mean the nursing homes are where the suffering is with not moving into the next phase. How’s your grandpa?

Lol o know a restaurant with a bar where I live that seemed, to my untrained eye, have people Sittig and standing and it looked like all tables were right where they always were. That said the dining room had a few tables moved to outside.
This is such a cluster.

He was forced into a Covid test today
He was told if he continued to refuse the test he would be in “forced isolated” in his room
He took it so hopefully he is negative
He can at least walk until the results come in
If he is a symptomatic positive he will be moved & not allowed to walk & not allowed a phone
His biggest thing is he can walk, when he can’t is when he will die
He says if they quarantine him he won’t make it a week
It’s terrible what those people are going through basically because they are skating by with limited staff, they can’t keep anyone more than a few days, they have sign on bonuses & aren’t getting any bites
The admin staff has gone above & beyond their job duties trying their best
I know I bitch, I know he’s in a good place but no one takes care of family like you think they should

Oh absolutely no one takes care of your person as you think they should. And the staff gets it I promise. Know that the majority do their absolute best.
I pray he remains negative. Our people from what I’m told still eat in their room, do therapy in their room and do one on one activities in their room. What a life. Ugh. Some wander out of their room and are directed back. It’s really a sad situation.
Did you ever get an answer to why staff can get food delivered but your grandfather can’t?? Makes zero sense.
