Agreed, but watching trends on hospitalizations has always been a measurement for phase progression. Recent trends are not positive.
You don't have to agree with the above, but those are the reasons.

We have had 69 (nice) hospitalizations in 3 days after a month of numbers dropping. Today may be an aberration, so let’s see tomorrow. Do you think there will be 40+ hospitalizations? I don’t.

It is loud so you have to get close to one another. And you can’t have a mask on and drink. So it is impossible to not spit in each other’s face. I hate it for the bars but that’s just the way it is.
Not all bars are loud and full of college kids. Maybe I would have agreed to keep those shut a while longer, but the bars I go to should have all been allowed to open May 1st.

All the while allowing or even encouraging protesting in large groups in close proximity?

And they also aren't anywhere close to being an issue.
There's a reason why a good chunk of this country is ignoring these bullshite rules....because they're bullshite.

I asked you what mess we are in, not what you think caused this fake mess.
Because the reality is that we are not in a mess. Outside of a very short window in New Orleans (among an extremely specific demographic) Louisiana hasn’t been in a mess at all regarding Covid.

a democrat is telling you how they think. when they tell you who they are, believe them. he wants to punish a business for opening when they were allowed to do so.
this guy is a total, utter piece of shite.

That the trend you talking about?

The [perceived] mess is rising positive tests and hospitalizations trending in the wrong direction for phase progression. That's the reason JBE gave in press conf. today.

no, and I'm simply pointing out what governor stated as the reason, and that is that as of very recently new cases and hospitalizations are trending in the wrong direction.
Posted on 6/22/20 at 3:49 pm to Stevo
they also said last week that a lot of the positive results reported were from tests taken a month ago so......
Posted on 6/22/20 at 3:50 pm to Stevo
Are we going to be in danger of overwhelming the hospitals? Because if not, we aren’t in any fricking mess

They are statistically flat over the last month or so
Posted on 6/22/20 at 3:51 pm to Stevo
But the overall number of positive tests have fluctuated from between 200-600 everyday since April 14. How is that a trend?
Posted on 6/22/20 at 3:55 pm to Stevo
Well, he’s a fricking tool who would delay progression by any means necessary.
So, if the mess you are referring to is having JBE as our governor, then I agree.
But the reality is, there is no emergency situation anywhere in the state.

here's a report reasons why there's no phase progression. LINK

Edwards was considering moving Louisiana from phase two to phase three of reopening under the White House guidelines. But he decided against the move based on the latest surge in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations over the last week.

he gives pressers locking everything down and stressing how dangerous this virus is yet, refuses to even consider extending state construction project deadlines.
this shite is dangerous but, get your arse in gear and get those projects done, i don't want to hear about how many workers you have out with the virus.

Surge in cases? His staff had to openly admit there were serious back logs, double tests, and tests of non-residents counted and so far we are down to 29.5% of where we were at our peak of hospitalizations. If we didn’t overwhelm the system then, we aren’t overwhelming it with 30% of that number.
I appreciate you bringing his reasoning here and I understand you may not agree with him. I’m just voicing my displeasure to the decision, not necessarily at you.
