Did the coaches not warn these morons about staying inside so they don't kill people? Did they not stress social distancing in a bar?
Warn of coming doom if any player breathed outside? Did they all wear masks?
How irresponsible of the coaches. Yet they claiming to have the players health in mind bringing them back to campus? But "go to the bars guys, you're Fuc football players. Rules don't apply to you". If they want the rest of us to hide inside, I expect EVERYONE to be held to the rule. Even young stupid players.
Is it too much to ask that coaches lecture players as they lecture society about
being selfish?
Guess not. Hypocrisy just fine in football...and rioting.

the vast majority of LSU students testing positive are not football players.

I’m glad he did! I wish he would have mentioned the rioters/protestors too. He needs to show a balanced approach to this.

The numbers are not supporting the protest areas though.

People need to stop being obstinate and follow simple guidelines

This isn’t a trump versus cnn issue. It’s a pandemic and it’s real.

Follow the friggin rules or shut down.

I hope the bars in Tigerland have permits yanked

Are you in the meetings, or have privilege to the communications between the coaches and players? At the end of the day the coaches can harp until they are blue in the face. These athletes are all adults. The coaches can't put them in lock down.

There's no question that many LSU students, who did not protest, are contracting Covid. Prove me wrong.

So? What’s the hospitalization rate?

Because positive tests is a meaningless stat.

Of course you do, because you’re a fascist.

But in fact, these spreads among young people are a good thing.

The bars should have their permits yanked for opening as legally allowed. You can't be this stupid.

It's not meaningless, but not as important as hospitalizations. I doubt that the LSU students accoutn for any hospitalizations, but they may infect older patients who need to got to hospital. There is some correlation between positive tests and hospitalizations. If more people followed very simple precautions, we wouldn't be in this mess, that's all.

JBE just talked about asymptomatic spread. Didn’t they recently say that wasn’t really a thing with this virus? Or at-least it is rare?

So if JBE keeps us in Phase 2 this means Latoya should move NOLA back to Phase 1 for 2 weeks before going back to phase 2.

From the beginning, I never understood how bars weren’t the last thing to open in the phases.

It is loud so you have to get close to one another. And you can’t have a mask on and drink. So it is impossible to not spit in each other’s face. I hate it for the bars but that’s just the way it is.

They said it was rarer than they thought.

But, again, this spread should be celebrated.

What mess?

We flattened the curve. That was the goal.

Name one thing that could prevent this current “mess”

Preventing everyone from getting the virus was never a stated goal.

Like if Deblasio didn’t keep the subways open and didn’t send infected patients back to nursing homes?

If NYC isn’t hammered, this entire covid scare doesn’t happen.

Man, that flatten the curve stuff and what it meant is so March. The goal post and narrative has changed 7 times since then.
