A continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT)

My wife just bought a CRV. It was less than 30k. Has all those safety features and driver assist cruise control, lane departure warning, etc. Very nice for what it is. Reliable. Gets 35 mpg on the highway. I thought the rogue was similarly priced?

They were very fragile products in that era.
Has anyone had a Nissan CVT that made it to 150,000 miles before imploding?

Gf's altima is at 150. But it's all highway commute.
My theory on their failure is cold fluid issues at startup.
Historically Jatco builds bulletproof transmissions. I just can't see hoe they got it so wrong.

181 horsepower out of a gas motor is just not enough engine for me. It needs a more powerful engine as an option.

Pretty sure the CX-5 would be the competitor. I'd get that in the diesel option.

We have the Titan-based Armada and have been very happy with it. That said, if this had a more powerful engine, I might consider it. I may still think about it for my oldest kid.

I have a 17 rogue and it was $30,000... it’s fine... literally all I can say. Never given me any trouble

Happy about this. They will be giving 2020s away

Renault did a number on Nissan in a bad way. If I remember they sent that Renault CEO to. Japan prison for years. Not the vehicle they were 10 years ago.

**** hopefully this thread serves as a break from the encroaching marxist take down of American cities, rapid expansion of cancel culture, and Covid-19 threads*****

If I had to buy something that wasn't a truck or sports car I'd just get a damn Honda Odyssey and be done with it. At least it's practical with hauling kids and all their crap around and I won't have to move 3 rows over at walmarks when junior opens the door and slams it into the car next to me. All these little SUVs look the same and don't really have much room in them for what they cost.

Nissan is plain ole crap these days both inside and under the hood
