re: All-terrain tires

Posted by Cajun Slick on 11/19/25 at 5:20 pm to
Probably not as aggressive as you’re looking for but my favorite tire manufacturer is Michelin. Just got a set of their LTX AT2 and love em. Quiet and last a long time. They also don’t put a bunch of crap on the sidewalls so they’re easy to put tire dressing on and they always look black. I’ve had other tires that always look dry and or grey or even brownish no matter how much you clean em or put tire juice on em. Michelins will look black a week later.
2021 Ram 1500 Laramie 5.7 etorque. 70k miles. No issues. My favorite truck I’ve ever owned. Engine has enough power. Transmission is smooth and always seems to find the right gear. Tows my bay boat well on the interstate in 7 th gear hums along at 2200 rpms (never breaks a sweat). Gas mileage sucks when towing but who cares, they all do. At this point in ownership My last truck…Silverado was burning more oil than gas, had all 4 door lock actuators fail, the cruise control sensor on the break pedal fail, the emissions canister thingy that captures gas tank fumes broke, and that’s just off the top of my head. The Alpine stereo is great. Everything just works like it did when I bought it. He’ll, even the automatic running boards still work… I thought for sure when I bought it I would regret that because surely they’d fail after a year or two. Nope still works. I’m buying another one next year.

Just bought this Kershaw on Amazon. D2 steel. Love the sheath, you can take it on / off your belt without removing the belt. The rubber handle is ergonomic and not slippery when wet/ bloody. $60 bucks. Should last forever with minimum care. Ps…don’t get a folding knife, you’ll have to disassemble it to clean it after every use. PITA
Meguire’s Ultimate liquid wax. It’s a synthetic. Wax on and of like Daniel son. Just did my truck yesterday. Took one hour to wash n dry. One hour to wax on n off. Lasts almost a full year!
Ha. Trump can be such a dick…I love that about him.
These idiots saying Hamas can have no part in governing Gaza going forward, as if they’re taking some strong stand. They’ll just change name and rebrand. The “new” government will continue Jew hating because it will be made up of the same people… Jew hating Palestinians. Then the war will go on ad infinity. Israel is correct in recognizing this and displacement of the Gaza inhabitants is the only long term solution that offers it any respite from the continuing circle of war. “You don’t have to go home but you can’t stay here” GTFO! We’re tired of your shite and we ain’t taking it anymore. They thought the Jews didn’t have the balls…well think again Mohammed.
By the time you find someone, call them, schedule an appointment for a convenient time and get the work done you could be up and running if you diy. I just repaired mine. Complete breakdown and reassembly took about two hours. It’s actually a more efficient use of your time to diy
You could change bearings and tensioning pulley while you’re in there and have piece of mind for another 10 yrs. My GE is on 18 years because of preventative maintenance.
Does the Middle East not have any homegrown type of sports / entertainment that they can invest in and grow? All they do is buy the west’s biggest sporting events. They get all the has been European soccer players to come play in their crappy league. Buy golfers, world cups, auto races, Olympics etc. makes em look desperate
Just watched the up close video. He’s 100% dead. Poor man. I believe he had young children too. If not for the grace of god this would have been Donald Trump’s fate. Public conservative voices need to take precautions… this level of political violence is scary. It always Leeds to more violence. Always!

Call me when they bring back the real GOAT
NJ turning purple ??
No it’s not. “We just voted in the wrong democrat”…. This next democrat will fix everything! (That’s how these blue freaks think).
This is the way. There will NEVER be peace. The “Palestinians” teach their children from birth to hate Jews. You can’t negotiate with that. The only way to break the cycle is to relocate them out of Gaza. It’s been 75 years for Christ’s sake. They’ve rejected every peace deal because they want them dead.
Public Service Announcement…
Does everyone here know how to properly store your torque wrench after use? You have to “back it down” to a setting of 1-5 lbs if you’re not going to be using it for any extended period or else you’ll completely ruin its calibration thus making it useless.
Ask me how I know.
Ripped the head off a bolt trying to get it to torque to 60 lbs after improperly storing one once. Not a fun day
I drive a 21 Ram w/ 5.7 Hemi and the etorque. I don’t know why the etorque gets so much hate. I think it’s mostly from ppl who don’t own one and just hate the idea of auto start stop. It’s by far the best and most thought out system on the market. It’s smooth, quiet. And almost imperceptible. PLUS it fixes the Hemi’s most notorious problem…the hemi tick which is purportedly caused by high engine idle times. My next truck will be another Ram w/ the hemi when they start to make em again. I’m gonna wait a year after the re-launch of the hemi to make sure they get the bugs worked out with the new electrical system.
My power just went out in Gonzales/prairieville. I wonder if we got the blackout or if it’s just the usual shitty infrastructure to blame?

Wait till Ram starts remaking the Hemi 5.7 in August (supposedly). That engine plus the ZF transmission is ultra reliable. Interior is great and back seat is huge for the kids. Ride is second to none with the rear coil springs. Tech is great too. Had mine since 2021. Not a single issue. GM transmissions aren’t reliable and engine lifters are suspect. Ford has a rubber belt powering their oil pumps. Toyota’s new trucks have been having all kinds of issues.
If you do get the Ram Hemi try not to let it idle too long. Hopefully they put the hellcat oil pump in all new engines (some ppl say the current oil pumps that decrease pressure when at idle cause lifter failure at around 100k miles or so. I have the etorque stop /start so mine doesn’t idle much.).
Good luck
Louisiana is so low because ppl with disposable income here have more options (specifically a boat) to spend the money on. If I lived in Iowa or Vermont I might have a Harley just for fun. Bet since I live in a giant delta I choose to have a boat instead
Toyota just announced they’re bringing back the FJ cruiser with a V6!!!
This NEVER happens if Kamala is president. Guarantee Ram brings back a V8 for their trucks and cars soon too.
Thank 9 pound 8 ounce sweet baby Jesus for Donald J Trump.
So much winning already and he hasn’t even been inaugurated!!
If you have a family in this order you will need
GPS troll motor with spot lock
Bimini top
Swim ladder
Ski pole
Good radio

Louisiana Lights at Burden..

the christmas lights show at the LSU ag center off Essen lane. $20 per ticket for all ages 4 and over plus $10 to park. I think this buys you a 30 minute time slot for viewing. Family of four would be $90 bucks.
Any of you OT ballers been. Does it come close to being worth the money?

Ram is rumored to be switching transmissions to a ZF. If they do that’s what I would have the confidence in to last the longest trouble free…power train wise.
