This generation is so coddled that simple consequences seem like tyranny

Twitter: brave BLM warrior hyperventilating over arrest
Peaceful protests are being tolerated
If the police tell you to go home or move out of the way and you don’t why is it surprising that they would use non lethal force? Pissed because they think the police are killing people then get pissed when the police use tear gas and rubber bullets designed to prevent lethal force. They won’t be happy until there are no police.
For instance, the guy in buffalo, it was hardly a push. Accidents happen. Don’t walk into a line of advancing police that are telling you to stand down.
I know this thought is hard for some, but we have law and order for a reason. If you or your family were in danger I’m sure you would be all for police controlling crowds and handling protests with non violent force.
Too much estrogen in the lattes these days

Weak, frail Boomers consistently fail in balance and financial responsibility

They are trained to fake medical conditions when arrested. Seriously.

Police aren't our overlords. They're there to serve and protect the community. Roughing up people exercising their 1st amendment rights, even if they are yelling some mean things at the police, isn't serving or protecting the community.
Hell, just look at what they call themselves and how that's changed over the recent past. Used to be they were the "Police Force"....intimating their job was to "police", or watch over, communities to keep people safe. Now? Now they're "Law Enforcement"...they're "enforcers" and that idea is 100% ingrained in their heads. It may seem like just a simple switch of words but a guy like Frank Luntz has made a living, and forwarded entire political movements, by the simple manipulation of words and language.

Don't you have some faux fear to to work up about the virus?
Btw, I agree with the premise of your thread.

Did you watch the video?
Was that “roughing up the community?”

Surely the OP was trying to make a broader point than summarizing an entire movement/generation based on the actions of a single person in a single video.

Part of that is controlling crowds.
People watch 1 twitter clip and they think they know the context of the entire situation.
Do we know if the police were ordered to clear the street because a fire truck or ambulance needed to get through? Who knows.
What if your mother was in that burning building or ambulance? You act like there is no justification for crowd control

Controlling crowds doesn't require beating the shite out of people with batons, shooting canisters, or popping rubber projectiles at people.
You ever been to a concert and they need to move thousands of people for some reason (medical, lightning, people getting pressed too hard on the front rail)? Do they send out the security people to shoot concertgoers or do they get on the PA and ask for cooperation?

You put your hands on another man, especially police, expect to be dealt with by force.
