This isn’t a gotcha. It’s not meant to be a pile on opportunity for conservatives either. I’m looking for honest answers because I can’t help but think of this when I see a riot on behalf of the death of one man (who, to be clear, was undeserving and which, to be clear, was the result of an immense abuse of power).

Why does this infuriate people but blacks murdering blacks is something that liberals almost never mention? Seriously, Black lives absolutely do matter. But why do they matter more when police are doing the killing as compared to when other blacks are doing the killing in exponentially higher numbers? Sure, in cases like Floyd, innocence is a factor. But shouldn’t we be even fractionally as willing to protest the thousands of black on black murders as we are the death of one man?

The underlying question: if we’re going on a big game hunt, can we take a shot at the elephant in the room?

Why would they want to put responsibility on their voters

Blacks just want the opportunity to fix their community without prejudice or police brutality.

I understand it and I talk to my AA friends about it.

What they want to stop is the racists jokes, the "pearl clutching", the looks they get by white people, and to have the same opportunities as everyone else.

The reality is they have to take responsibility for their own communities in the end. The police are only there because there's crime. This doesn't absolve the police from being shitheads or profiling.

The belief is that blacks kill blacks because they are the victims of long term systemic racism. Inner city ghettos are cesspools of destitute residences, horrific educational opportunities, and a lack of economic opportunity. Of course crime is going to be rampant.

The question for you or anyone is: has systemic racism really created those places and put black people in those situations?

Probably the best answer will have to come from an African-American. Not that other perspectives and opinions and viewpoints are worthless, that's not the case, but it would be especially important to hear that viewpoint.

More blacks have been killed in these protests than by cops this week.

This is not about racism...it's about politics. It is about what can be gained by one side, the left, by exploiting a white on black crime. A black on black crime gains them nothing.

I hear All Lives won’t matter until Black Lives Matter. Makes some sense.

My late black/NA mix grandfather was one of those old school Christian liberals that fought in Vietnam and Korea. He was a pro 2A guy for obvious reasons.

He had to relocate to marry my German grandmother. Whites and blacks couldn't marry everywhere back in those days.

His concept of BLM was more rooted to local churches and well-developed family systems that policed their own so that the actual police didn't have an excuse to beat them senseless. He was never a pro-police guy, though. He had more of a humanistic liberal view that said "we have to care for and love our own because they (government) won't do it."

For white people, you can't virtue signal or show your friends how much you "care" or how "woke" you are if the killing isn't done by a white a person.

This is why Black Lives Matter is a joke. They only matter when their death can be used for political gain.

Short answer. They get away with it.They get away with constant harassment. Harrassed in front of your kids. On dates. Alone. Driving home alone. And it has been happening all of our lives.

Then.

You black men get pulled over with white friends. And you then learn there's a difference. White ppl can actually express emotion. Get mad.

Black men are targeted. Hoping something sticks. It's a paranoia you cant explain to someone unless he's with you.

THis is why white athletes bow. They see it and understand it.

As a black man - seriously you don't have to say African-American - I'll attempt to give some insight here:
quote:

blacks murdering blacks is something that liberals almost never mention?

Because it happens so often that it's ingrained into the black community as something that is normal and accepted
quote:

why do they matter more when police are doing the killing

In a predominantly all black community (the hood) young blacks are raised to hate the police

Fun fact, you will always hear a balck man refer to another black man as "brother" or "black man," but when referencing a white man it is always "white boy." Heaven forbid you ever refer to black male as "boy"

Its not just about police killing black people. Its about the police being used as population control and the entire judicial system being rigged.

Black people were artificially placed at the bottom of society. The police and the justice system are some of the tools used to make sure they stay there.

Damn near every traffic stop turns into people outside of their vehicles and police searching their cars. They don't even use the drug dogs for fake hits anymore. They just go straight for the "I detect an odor of Marijuana " so they can search without even bringing in the dogs.

The over policing and violations of people's rights are just too much sometimes.

The United States makes up 4% of the world's total population, yet 25% of all the world's prisoners are incarcerated in the States.

Unless you just believe Americans are exponentially more criminal than the rest of the world than there is no way this is the land of the "free".

I just watched a man cuffed and arrested for eating a sandwich on the train platform in the "land of the free".

The real question is why do conservative Whites sit idle while all of our god given rights are eroded more and more every single year?

When those police officers blew away the scared white guy pleading for his life in a hotel hallway in Arizona and left his wife and 2 daughters fatherless there was silence. The cop was acquitted and allowed to go back to work. He eventually retired.

Daniel Shaver crying begging cops not to shoot him. They blow him away anyways.
America is definitely a police state. It may not be as bad as China, but police have found ways to circumvent the constitution and the Supreme Court has upheld that bull shite.

You guys better wake up. When the government comes for you they ain't sending Nancy Pelosi they are sending cops.

The Corona lock down should have shown you that cops will follow orders regardless whether they are lawful or not.

I think you could ask several people and get several answers. But I think it boils down to a matter of cognitive dissonance. Black people kill other blacks, sure, but they don’t kill them just because they’re black. Many if not most blacks think police kill black men because they’re black; I think part of it is a power dynamic, where the policeman is sworn to protect and serve and the black criminal is not.
