Tesla has had 700,000 orders for their Cybertruck

And likely will surpass the 1,000,000 mark for pre-orders by the fall. Initial production will happen in California, but a new factory is needed to meet demand - and is likely to be built in either Tulsa or Austin. First deliveries for two wheel drive models are in late 2021. Four wheel drive models should follow shortly in 2022.
Who is buying the head-turning new Cybertruck?
Or are you waiting for one of the other new electric trucks:
Rivian R1T (US - 2021)
Hummer EV (US - 2021)
Kaiyun Pickman (China - 2022)
Lordstown Endurance (US - 2022)

I'm probably going to buy one

I did some research on the Rivian. I like it.
69k isn’t terrible considering some of the new F150s are getting into the high 50s.

Its a $100 deposit. Elon fan boys will send $100 just to pump the numbers.

Rivian R1T actually looks nice.

That Tesla truck is so ugly to me. It looks like a door stop with wheels.

It’s a little weird looking but it’d be fun to drive

I'm getting the Rivian, but the R1S not the R1T

I know it doesn't need a grill, but I feel like it needs something.

Id be happy to buy an electric truck as long as it doesn't look like absolute shite.

The Kaiyun looks like Pixar designed a Dihatsu.

I'll probably end up getting a Rivian a couple years after it releases so they can work any bugs out.
0-60 in 3 seconds and I can haul our kayaks too? Sign me up.
Not to mention the bad-arse tank turn feature that I'll probably never use.

Pretty sure I saw that little commie truck in all of the Pixad movies. Little mega blocks arse truck.

Yeah those delivery dates are pretty suspect if they don’t even have the factory built yet.
I know all the Musk fanboys think he is a miracle worker but construction doesn’t happen overnight.
I wouldn’t buy a Tesla because:
-Parts availability is terrible especially for collision damage. You can’t just order a part, have to go through the Mothership and start a support case just to get a part.
-Tesla controls your vehicle and can shut off features as they see fit. Salvage cars have had supercharging shut off by Tesla.
-Very expensive to insure and repair and easy to total in collision damage.

Better view of the Hummer EV

If I’m gonna drive something that ugly, it better evade radar as well as a B-2 Bomber.

The torque on these electric trucks is going to be insane.
