As a dog owner, I really would be upset if a random person I did not know tried to give my dog treats. I wouldnt call the cops and say they were trying to attack me but I would be going the opposite direction pretty fricking fast with my dog in tow.

This guy either was recording the whole thing and edited just the most damning part or was egging the girl on to go full meltdown mode. It was her choice however to call the police and out crazy the crazy.

It's easy. Just avoid these frickers and keep your dog on a leash in a public park. Her response of letting the dog stretch its legs makes no sense. Hows about go running with the dog?

I feel somewhat bad for the girl in this situation as a fellow protective dog owner but come on man. We go hiking all the time and if the park says to keep the dog on a leash, you just do it. If it doesnt, you don't. Respect the park, respect the rules and dont be racist asking for the cops to do your job for you. If someone calls you out for not having your dog on a leash, you just take your lumps and follow suit. Easy peasy.

Have you considered carrying dog treats as an alternate to using a handgun to distract a potentially aggressive canine? Maybe you should.

Because people generally keep dog poisoned treats handy ........ and you generally run your dog w/o a leash against local law?

Would you call over a dog that you think it potentially aggressive?

What possible reason could this guy have to call the dog over with a treat?

A very large dog came into my yard some years ago and killed my mother's cat. As fate would have it, the dog mysteriously died a short time later.

It's confirmed that he made a threat and then offered her dog a treat. I don't know what the treat was, but it would have been reasonable to assume it was poisoned given his threat.

Sometimes two assholes just come together at the right time. This was one of those.

He wasn't afraid of the dog. He was bothered by it ruining his activity.

To get the owner to leash it.

You manage to be a dumbass regardless of the topic. That’s quite an accomplishment.

There were probably things said before but that woman’s reaction and treatment of her dog absolutely show she’s not a responsible dog owner and she’s insane. Two people can be in the wrong.
