I guess Lowes and Home Depot's gains were to big to fit on the chart..

Under Armour is a weird one. I always thought that gen z and younger kids are wearing them a whole lot more than the older millennials and gen x.

Not to mention a lot of people who boycotted Nike recently with some of their political stances.

Also, not surprised with Subway... place fricking blows.

I'm surprised old department store brands like JC Penny and Sears didn't make the list. I think their days are numbered.

I thought the same.
Tons of kids are growing up wearing Under Armour that 20 years ago would be in Nike.

I'm not a fan either. It's odd, 15 years ago we had Subway, Blimpie and Quiznos around here. Subway seemed to push them all out.

Now they are being pushed out by Jimmy John's, Firehouse and Jersey Mike's type of places.

The only people that I know who wear under armor are travel ball dads that think it’s cool because of Jordan Spieth.

No real athlete would ever willingly choose under armor gear.

Never even heard of it... was it just a Louisiana/Texas thing? I grew up in central NC/west TN.

UA stock has been bombing for multiple years now. They are in deep trouble.

Kevin Plank going to need to ask Maryland for some of his money back.

They had a unique brand position 20+ years ago. Remember they marketed themselves as the healthy alternative to fast food and they offered a unique experience to have your food prepped right in front of you and to choose all the ingredients you wanted.

Back to the future now and the guise of heart health has fallen of their sodium laden processed meats and the line prep ordering model has been adopted by many restaurants with higher quality ingredients.

And he is paid handsomely. I’ve never seen a kid Or anyone at all to be honest, wearing under armor basketball shoes in public.

"Real athletes" as in people who do this for a living, sure.

Plenty of serious fitness types buy UA, of course. I think you could make a decent argument it was the premier consumer performance apparel for a number of years in terms of actual quality. I don't think there is any question that UA forced Nike et al. to get much more serious about synthetics.

But UA has had corporate dysfunction, declining quality perception and can't compete well in footwear.

I do see a ton of travel ball kids (not just dads) outfitted head to toe in UA in places like suburban Atlanta and Dallas

Spot on. Nike perfected their product in regards to marketing and sports presence.

Nike has always been top notch regardless of their politics. Maybe the under armour popularity was merely a fad and the long standing stability of a company around since the 70’s (Nike) just had more staying power
