Animal farm/ Brave New World/ Fahrenheit 451

These three books seem to be intriguing me right now for no particular reason. If I were to read them all again, which one would you say is the best to start with?

Of the three I've read Brave New World and Animal Farm. I liked Animal Farm more and have read it more than once. I may revisit Brave New World and give Farenheit 451 a shot.

Meh, Animal Farm is a great book but I think people overstate it's relevance when comparing it to today's society. It's really just a specific critique of Stalinism. Most people don't seem to realize that Orwell was actually in favor of democratic socialism but hated Stalin's totalitarian regime and was angered that people were sympathetic to the USSR immediately after WWII.
Of Orwell's books, I think 1984 is much more relevant today because of how it more broadly examines issues of authoritarian government, surveillance, propoganda, outrage culture, facts vs the perception of truth, and the general dumbing down of society, etc.
I've read both recently and I forgot how good they were as I hadn't read either since I was in high school 10+ years ago.
Farenheit 451 and A Brave New World are both on my to do list.

Personally I think Brave New World is "more right" than 1984, although of course all these books are quite relevant.
Minor spoilers below, nothing plot related - just world setting:
Brave New World examined themes of people being inundated with bullshite (a happy drug in this instance) to distract them from what was going on at the upper levels of gov't and the injustices. I think this sort of distraction is largely more correct to how our world has played out in this century with a world state focusing on trying to maintain order with extensive bureaucracy. The population loves being controlled through mass consumerism, sexual promiscuity, development of family, etc.
In addition, it examines genetic and social engineering - while we are in the middle of a genetics revolution that nobody seems to be talking about or is concerned about how it is and will shape the future.

I'm definitely excited for Brave New World, might even move it up to on deck and start after I finish No Place to Hide (figured I might as well read the non-fiction version of 1984 after finishing the fiction version 
). I highly recommend No Place to Hide, btw. This is the first time I've actually sat down and read about the details of everything Snowden leaked and it's fascinating and frightening at the same time.
For 1984, there were two things that resonated with me this time around that seem to be different about US politics since I was in high school:
The first is using outrage to keep the public distracted. They use things like Two Minutes Hate and Hate Week to give the public a permanent enemy. The party created the character of Goldstein and turned him into a boogie man who was at fault for everything wrong in the world. Even when Winston is beginning to question the party, he still finds it hard to resist joining in with the crowd and becoming legitimately angry. It feels like this is just standard operating procedure for our two political parties today. Turn the other party into something evil to scare people into voting for you. Attack the person rather than disagree with the idea.
The second is the perception of truth. Ultimately the party realizes that facts don't matter when you control the perception of truth, and if you have other ways to make someone believe something, the facts don't matter. This also exists to a frightening level in today's world. If you are able to dance around facts to make someone believe something different is true, then ultimately the facts don't matter. This also happens on both sides of the aisle in American politics.

Haha, its insane how true these kinds of books were proven. Almost like they were used as a road map.
