at 25% capacity.
Of course, its possible this may not apply to New Orleans as Latoya has already hinted at stricter guidelines.
But for the rest of the state, its open.
Bars that sell food is particularly interesting!

nice to see that I will be able to sit in the bar at Sammy's or George's and drink a cold one while waiting on my pickup order -

Why wouldnt you just go somewhere with better food?

Is Cantrell follows the state lead, things will be interesting. Several of the music clubs on Frenchman St have restaurant permits, although they never sell food. Wonder if any of them will try to use that to open, although at the reduced capacity?!?

And what about Wrong Iron having at least two food trucks every day on weekends.
Bayou Beer Garden should be fine. What about Tchopyard?

Wrong Iron is the interesting one. They don't have a kitchen but have food trucks instead.

I don't think so. There was a line in there about not allowing "on site consumption" or some BS. It was horribly written but, best that I can tell, you can't have a drink unless you are at one of the 25% capacity tables and are eating. Will wait to see how the rule is interpreted though. Frankly, I am hoping it is roundly ignored and everyone just goes for it.

I thought I saw that bars could open standing room only if people could keep their distance.

If they are a bar that serves food they can open with the same restrictions as restaurants.
Going to be really interesting to see how they enforce this around the state.

At our little bar and grill, it's going to be fun to see how this works out. Currently I can sit on the patio or under the tents and drink.
If I go into the bar, I'm going to be told I have to sit like a kid in order to drink? What if I get up to go visit a friend at another table?
Then the real fun starts when the video poker machines get turned back on.

25% capacity.
Won’t even keep the lights on at most places
You’ll see a lot of places decide not to open yet I reckon

Well...it is 25% of fire Marshall capacity not seating.
But yeah it’s an issue.

No they specifically said that standing around isn’t allowed has to be seated

Yes. Employees are factored into the capacity, not just patrons. This isn’t helping any restaurant. I’ve talked to a few folks who won’t even consider opening at 50% much less 25%

Most of the good restaurants in Atlanta have not reopened even though they’ve been allowed to. Can’t make money with the current capacity restrictions.

Lots of places in Houston are ignoring the 25% rules, I don’t blame them. This shite is impossible to enforce.
