Apparently you haven't watched JT O'Sullivan break down that 2018 game with Bama.

Some on here cant see anything except the box score, they cant see all the different factors between 2018 and 2019.

To them, Joe Brady is the only difference.

He’s an NFL OC at age 30 and was hired by O to fix our offense at 29.

Yeah I think He’s a pretty fricking good coach.

Just because an NFL team hired doesnt necessarily mean he's a great coach.

The fact that when he showed up and fixed our offense we became the greatest offense never does though.

either every player on our offense got exponentially better - exponentially

Or they were already pretty good and finally put them in an offense that allowed them to succeed

How Burrow threw 60 TDS vs 16.
Chase caught 20 TDS vs 3
Come the frick on.

They. Had. No. Chemistry. In. 2018.

Look at the hours these guys spent together in the offseason prior to 2019, they didnt have that prior to 2018.

The offensive line had no chance to gel, thus we had to leave more guys in to protect against the blitz.

You also forget that the receivers dropped damn near 10% of the passes thrown to them in 2018.

And I'm not denying it, Brady definitely affected a lot of their improvements, both thru coaching and play schemes.

To say 2018 = bad, 2019 = good, difference is Brady. Its all Brady, is ignorant.

What will your stance be if the Panthers are average on offense this season?

Don’t forget, all the QBs who did go through spring also looked like shite in the spring.

Bottom line

If the 2018 offense worked we don’t hire Brady.

O and E knew they needed change and hired a guy to do it.

Funny how you just look for ANY you can to cut down this staff.... we all know now that you really can’t say bad about O, so now you are picking on the OC. It’s great that you said so many bad things about O since he took over yet now your trap is shut.......

His record as LSU's offensive coordinator:

36 games
31-5 record (86%)
485.3 yards per game
38.9 points per game
27 30 point game
19 40 point games
92% red zone scoring

His record speaks for itself. So much for him not being worthy for the job.

Not to mention that he also coached a Heisman Trophy winner.

Why are there a whole bunch of defend Ensminger posts lately? Weird trend.

2020 is by no means a lock to come anywhere close to 2019's offense, for a lot of reasons. Ensminger has a ton of work to do because 2019 was at least 70% Brady given history and results. I hope he learned a lot, but there's no guarantee because he didn't learn much over 30 years and that's precisely why we had to bring in a Brady then a Linehan.

Those are just facts. Can he do it? Sure. Will he do it? Not so sure. 2018 vs. 2019 was night and day in terms of production, creativity and efficiency.

Any offense, any route combo, any bunch formation, any motion out of 1 back to
0 back sets. None of which Ensminger ran in any year since he started coaching in 1986. All of which were staples in 2019 not “trick” plays that was our offense.

This is nothing against Steve. But the truth is the offense we ran last year, the WR route combos, the formations especially the bunch formations as well as most of the motion stuff are things he never ran before. Not ever in 30 plus years of coaching.

Now is it possible that none of that is Brady and SE had been working on that since 1986 and just decided to break it out in his 33rd year having never done it before? Maybe.... Is that what you are saying?
