It sure why they need to publicize this. Just give a wink and nod to your folks that they can go back to normal.
Now the media followed by JBEs minions will be all over the place

He has to do something. Because if he does nothing most parishes will follow suit and he is dead in the water politically for 3 years.

When asked about some parishes' plans to reopen during Thursday's daily coronavirus briefing, Edwards made it clear that parishes are not allowed to choose when to stop abiding by restrictions.

"Parishes are free, and mayors, to be more restrictive than whatever restrictions I put in place... They are not free to be less restrictive," the governor said. "Any such order would not be valid."

He needs to give up, he’s going to end up looking more foolish

What do you think is going to happen when LSU and Saints football is cancelled ? All the government fanboys and morons on the MSB will be in an uproar. I for one can't wait to see this, useful idiots getting their just desserts.

I mean how is going to force 3-4 parishes to listen? Use up all the state police force to monitor it?

Hope they have the balls to defy his dumb arse

The publicity is the purpose.

By announcing it, they're telling business owners, we'll protect you.

It's also just politics. By openly defying JBE, they undermine his authority, and make him look weak.

It took what 3 weeks for authorities to do something about the pastor in Central and isn’t he still having services from his porch. It would be shitty to Immediately drop the hammer on a parish taking precautions.

Me too, if enough people rebel, he won't be able to enforce the closure.

Sanctuary Parish bitch. Precedent has been established. If states can override federal laws, parishes can override state laws.

Karma is a bitch
