“I have to make a living too,” says Nelson, who recently texted customers about his plans to reopen the Highland Road and Towne Center shops on Monday at 10 a.m. “I’ve got 20 employees between my two locations. I typically make at least $65,000 a month that I’m not making, plus I’ve had to pay $10,000 a month in rent and utilities for an empty space. The PPP does me no good because I can’t pay my employees anyway, and the way the government has handled unemployment disincentivizes people to come back to work.”

This is the only way that we can take our control back from a corrupt government which does not serve us

Skip made the call: It's time for The Gentleman's Choice

He'll face the slings and arrows of the social media "hero" brigade, but it is a shrewd business move. He knows the demand for haircuts/other grooming has probably never been higher and he's trying to get a jump on the competition while gaining support form the large "silent" contingent who agree with his move.

Hell yes. He'll have my business.

Why not just wait until JBE rolls out the plans Monday? He’s risking his licenses

Nelson challenges what he considers to be hypocrisy within the stay-at-home order, noting that hardware and home goods stores tend to regularly attract large crowds despite not always having proper safety precautions.

Yall make sure to go out there and support this guy. Local barber tried to do this in Hoover and the fricking cops showed up writing the patrons $500 fines. Owner caved and closed down to protect his customers....... FROM THE frickING POLICE.
Insanity.
Insanity.
