For those saying never. Have we not had a few days already of a downward trend?

If it has to be 14 consecutive days where positive cases decrease day over day, then we are at Day 0 right now. We just an increase in positive cases over yesterday.

OT Tracking Thread

I don't think we would meet any of the criteria right now.

Downward trajectory of positive tests as a percent of total tests within a 14-day period(flat or increasing volume of tests)

or

Downward trajectory of documented cases within a 14-day period

So anyone think that they’ll cook the numbers? And honestly if there’s a backlog these numbers will be affected without being cooked.

Are you sure about that?

The language says a 14 day downward trajectory. I don't know what that means technically.

On 4/1 LA had around 1200, on 4/16 around 600. Based on the days between they are definitely on a downward trend.

Downward trajectory means taking the last 14 days of positive cases and graph it, smooth the line and if it is going down, then criteria met. We started this on April 10. We will meet it on April 24. That is a Friday. Most of the state goes to phase 1 Monday the 27th and phase 2 mid May. Phase 3 mid June to end of June.

I don't think that is how it works.

I think that unless things worsen over the next two weeks, JBE will let his shutdown expire May 1st and we will enter phase 1

Something real screwy going on. Look at the trend up till 4/13, the see what happened right after.

JBE needed more cases?
