Supressor Question (SilencerCo Hybrid 46)

Kind of late to asking this question because I already bought it back in December, but has anyone had any experience with the SilencerCo Hybrid 46 to use on all of your platforms? I bought one pre-maturely without doing a lot of reasearch thinking that this was the only multi-platform supressor SilencerCo made. I feel like I should have gone with the Omega 36m, but the Hybrid 46 was on sale at the time.
I am shooting a 30-06, 300 BLK, Glock 9mm, 6.5 Creedmoor, 224 Valkrie, and .556
Thoughts, comments, concerns?

$799 at the time I bought it. Came out to about $1,200 by time time all the other stuff gets added to it.

Honestly. I wouldn't buy a mass produced suppressor anymore after making my own. Just built a .30 cal on form 1 and its blowing away both Q and my YH products on decibel drop. Not to mention cost savings. I built mine for under $300

One-size-fits-all suppressors just dont work man. You're better off getting a centerfire handgun, centerfire rifle, and rimfire. Specialized cans have features, specs, and mounting options that are optimal to their individual platforms. I will always advocate for the 3-can setup. A little more expensive, but a lot more optimized and convenient

I agree with Carson build the suppressor to the specific gun for results.

Bandit, I would love for you to make a thread about your form 1 can. I’m sure I’m not alone here I think the OB would greatly appreciate the info as home rolled cans are becoming much more popular.

I got one as my first can because it was my only can so I could run it on everything (I also got a rimfire can at the same time).
Since then I got some more specific caliber cans so I can attach them on one gun and omit the need for QD. I have added an omega 300, omega 9k, 45k and just recently 2 turbo k and 2 turbo t2. Now I can cover all my 223s with specific for caliber can and so forth.
Now this all frees up my hybrid to be my big bore can for my 45/70s and future 450bm and so on.
So as a first can I think its a good idea for a do all and then add specific ones as time goes on.

I could but its WAY too much to type and keep up with. But I will honestly tell you I started as dumb as anyone and followed a FB page called Form1 Suppressor Builders. Everything I learned was shared there. Plenty of resources for tubes, cones, thread adapters, specs on everything, machinist specs to take to your personal guy, caps, how to clip the cones, blast chambers and specs, engineering information, honestly everything you need is shared by someone on that page. Great resource. Highly recommend.

Has anybody seen or used the JK armament modular solvent trap kit? Looks good for a modular form 1 suppressor.

I had no idea you could build your own. I will for sure look into it. How does the application process work? Do you still need to wait the 9 months before the tax stamp clears or is this a loophole for the Tax Stamp?

You do a form 1 instead of form 4. You can efile it. Efile forms are coming back much quicker than form 4s. Still have to pay $200 and wait for approval.

Form 1 turnaround is about 33 days. I have had them back in as little as 24 days and as long as 41 days

THAT right there is a federal felony FYI. A Form 1 means YOU are building the firearm. Not someone you pay, not your buddy, not your kid or brother. It isn’t likely you will get prosecuted but illegal manufacture of a NFA firearm is punishable by up to 10 years in federal prison. I would be careful about what you are doing with a Form 1 build and really careful about what you put out on the internet.

Got a Hybrid and a Sparrow, love them. Everyone is right when all said and done, price is about 1200, add another 200 for trust for just Hybrid. I put ASR brakes on all my guns swap can as needed. I have ASR muzzle brakes on my 5.56, 300 win, 6.8 spc and others. No pistols yet.
Lessons learned:
1. Doesn't work at the range well when guns are hot if using quick detach brakes like ASR, whole thing unscrews.
2. Silencerco has sales from time to time on quick mount brakes, I buy a few each time to put on all of my guns, you will find the accessories are expensive, wait for sales.

jbgleason. Please make sure and put complete information and not what makes you feel good about your position. YES you can take specs to a machinist and have ANY parts built. What you CANNOT do is have them machine the entire thing at one time AND assemble. Only the form1 tax stamp holder can do that. You CAN have them fab a tube and thread it and that machinist can sell those all day everyday as anything he wants to call them, then take your blanks and have you caps made, then take stock and have your cones shaped to any spec you want them to, NO rules at ALL against that. The minutes it is all put together is the minute the law was broken if you don't have the stamp. This isn't rocket science and dang sure isn't a government conspiracy. Make sure you understand it all and not just half arse it.
