Demand increases price increases. At what point does it become gouging?

They did this before. Not sure why anyone buys from them no matter what the price.

Is it gouging if no one buys it?

Demand and supply sets market value.

I would rather drag my nuts through 10 yards of hot coals than do business with them.

Man, they must’ve fricked your wife and screwed you on the price.

I’ve never experienced anything that would make me risk my nuts.

Amen.

They became infamous for jacking the price of used AR-15 mags from $15 to $120 during the Sandy Hook panic. LINK

I understand the laws of supply & demand. But CTD goes above and beyond any justifiable pricing.

I was checking prices for 1000 rounds of 9mm the other day. Ended up ordering from sportsmansguide because it seemed like they were one of the only ones that hadn't jacked the prices up.

Yep.

There's still options out there, if you know where to look.

Last week I got 250 rds of 308 for $100 shipped. Ammoman dot com ran a deal where they had .308 that the packages broke during shipping, so they bagged them and sold them $20 a bag of 50. I got 5 bags, they ship free over $99. They came in, I looked, it's all Armscor FMJ.

I've got a couple boxes of Federal Hi-Shok 9BP JHPs that should arrive tomorrow. This is an older design, not the latest and greatest defensive load out there. It's also not the worst, and from a longer barrel (I have a few, like a CZ 75 and Beretta 92), it expands well. And for $18 a box of 50, that isn't a bad thing. Again, you just need to learn where to look.

Hint, not everything shows up in ammoseek. And some places that focus on older, classic surplus guns, do sell ammo too. They just haven't been wiped out by the masses, yet.

I suspect you might get a backorder, but on the other hand you're locking in the price. And from what I've seen, it's been Fiocchi and S&B, which are some of my preferred brands.

They get a lot of bad reviews, so GL.

Fiocci 9mm availability date 4/13/20.

I have my doubts. I did order 1K rds of .223 i think from them years ago without a hitch.

Nah, they're fine. I did the membership for a couple of years; they have a lot of stuff besides ammo, and if you are careful and pick and choose you really can't beat them on some things. They're still my go-to for various surplus clothing (Italian chinos, 3 for $10 etc). Boots too.

The problem with the ammo is simply, you will (usually) find it cheaper somewhere else, and you don't have to pay membership for that.

I'd recommend you look them over, pick up everything you can, and do the 1 month free membership deal. Cancel before the 30 days are up.
