Tom Hanks got through it just fine and being at home sucks.
We missed the boat anyway and virus is already all over. I think by next weekend you'll see everyone saying f this and getting back to normal.

What I am looking forward to is what a democrat president will do with all of the precedents that have been set.
Since we have established a precedent to react and pay to the worst possible outcome how long before we have an event with a worst possible outcome after the next democrat is elected that a democrat can really boogie with?
Someone has finally solved the building entitlements problem. That won't kill the country as it is, one of these events will.

I’m so sick of this #flattenthecurve shite
And then they’ll come back with well we were doing such a good job, we’ve decided to extend these shelter in place rules for another 2 weeks and then we will reevaluate again and people are sick of this shite

What does this mean? They will open businesses despite the shelter in place orders/curfews/etc?

This makes no sense. If it hasn’t effected things at all, it never will

NC will be in stay at home starting tomorrow, but its not really being enforced. We had a party last night all the neighbors came by and had beer and food.
Next, War on Ants.

I would suspect that some local leader, either a mayor or governor will direct power companies to shut electricity down on loca businesses that are not groceries or hospitals to assert their authority
I think right now we are doing a square dance before we go haka and then, we we don't keep our distace and then it gets ......ugly.

My guess is many of these municipalities will be going belly (bankrupt) up once all the "taking" lawsuits start piling up. They're going to be responsible for all the costs, lost profits, etc. for probably a good portion these enterprises. States can't file bankruptcy so they're going to have to find the money.

It’s been almost 2 weeks for a lot of people. The virus takes up to 2 weeks to incubate, with the average time of 5 days for symptoms to appear.

I’m really curious what the legalities of all this are. Can governments really threaten business licenses over this?

Mortality rate is low enough this should be a personal responsibility thing, but we quit applying that to parenting, schools, society a long time ago. The govt can’t protect you from whatever this is....

This won’t happen. Insurance won’t cover businesses disobeying local m/state ordinances.
