You need to leave your shoes outside your House.

Infectious disease specialists have warned that COVID-19 can live on the soles of shoes for up to five days, with footwear more likely to carry coronavirus if it has been worn in busy areas like supermarkets, airports or on public transport.
The sole of a shoe is the main breeding ground for bacteria, fungi and viruses, but respiratory droplets carried in the air from a person infected with coronavirus can still land anywhere on the upper part of a shoe like the laces or the heel.
Soles are typically made from durable, synthetic materials like rubber, PVC or leather lined with plastic, all of which carry high levels of bacteria because they are non-porous, meaning they do not allow air, liquid or moisture to pass through.

I'm still doing fine.
Leave my house every day.
Work. Go to the grocery.
Wear my shoes inside.
No problems. No coronavirus.

We already do. Walking around your house in shoes from everywhere else is gross.

You neurotic types need to go ahead and buy yourselves bubbles and roll around like hamsters so the rest of us can get back to life.

Or you just just wipe them shits with Lysol wipes.

I don’t think you should do this because of corona, it’s just a good practice in general for keeping the house clean. See the Japanese. But since I live in south Louisiana and there’s tons of night time critters I’d actually just leave the shoes in a mud room or similar room off the entrance.

This is what I'm saying. And I thought I was a hypochondriac going into this thing.

Shoes are left at the foyer. So long as I refrain from licking the floor there for a bit we should be good.

I haven’t changed anything I do except for wash my hands a little more. No walking around with gloves or a stupid mask on. But if it makes people feel better then whatever.

Europeans always take off their shoes at the door and the virus is very rampant there.
Verdict: The virus is not really dependent on travelling on a pair of shoes.

Only when working out in the garden and the shoes collect mud in the ripples of the soles or if it's raining out.
I'll kick them off at the door and leave them on the porch if wet and if muddy, I'll use my hose to wash the mud off then let them dry before bringing them inside.
If in and out running errands on a nice day, nope, my shoes stay on until I'm ready to take them off.

I feel like they get a high from worrying on social media constantly. That's the only way to explain it.

I always take mine off in foyer because it's nasty otherwise.
But, you likely won't get infected from tracking a virus around.
Viral load wouldn't be high enough.

Someone get this info to the CDC stat. Tigerdroppings poster Smeg is still doing fine and doesn’t have the virus, it must all be a hoax

Get a shallow plastic pan, big enough for both feet. Spread cheap towel on bottom of pan. Wet towel with bleach solution (1/4 cup bleach per gal water). Set pan outside front door. Step on towel to kill germs when returning home from store. Rewet or wash towel as needed.
Don't do this if you have purple shag carpet.
