Where he will get the EXACT same result. All he is doing is forcing numerous people to travel to Washington at a time when we are told explicitly by the very same people NOT to travel and meet in groups. What he is forcing is unnecessary.

Flippantly layering $2T+ on top of the national debt without having to even record a vote is unnecessary.

Wrong. He can vote no on the voice vote without requesting a roll call.
Unless 1/5 of the quorum demand a recorded or yeah/nay vote, a simple anonymous voice vote is all you get.

Pretending that a recorded vote is significant in any way is also unnecessary. No one is getting voted out of their seat over this bill.

which would force all members to return to Washington, D.C. and slowdown movement on the bill.
These members asked the good people of their districts to grant them the privilege of representing them in Congress.
Them treating being forced to come back to DC like it's some huge sacrifice is absolutely terrible.
The fact that they have be forced to be accountable for a vote on a bill this big, especially with all the pork in it is evidence enough that the swamp is alive and well.

Then how is one man stopping this?

Any member can request a roll call vote after the voice vote, as I understand it. Which would require a quorum

Demanding the government do something, doesn't matter what or if it's wrong, just do something
When the government wrecks the damned jobs they wrecked and are directly at fault for those jobs' destruction and the businesses they are shutting down, you damned right they need to do something in this case, and that something is to fix what they broke...especially when the Constitution requires the government provide for the common defense. Our economic vitality is directly tied into our common defense, internal and external.
This is NOT the same situation as some big government welfare handout to a bunch of non-producers. Sure some of them will benefit in the mix(and even their spending will still go back into the economy) but all in all this is to handle our country's economic survival in a time of crisis...big difference.

10-4 that makes more sense than the articles made it sound.

He is not stopping anything.
Unanimous consent is a means of avoiding any vote at all. By objecting to unanimous consent, he is forcing ONE of the four formal voting procedures.
The FIRST of those is a voice vote. If he is the ONLY one screaming “nay,” he cannot force the NEXT type of vote (e.g. a record vote).
BUT, once a quorum is present, he MIGHT get a record vote if he can convince 1/5 of the quorum to demand one.

Very good point. Folks are not treating a lot of things like the crisis this has been turned into...

Then why is his name even being mentioned if he cannot force a roll call by himself?
If one member cannot force it, why do they have Reps driving into DC?
