But if intentionally misrepresenting what I said makes you happy, congrats.
I didn’t. The “we must lose so we can win” strategy failed the GOP for decades.

BS. The bulk of the Bill is going where the GOP and the President wanted. The stuff the Dems got was crumbs by comparison.

People still think all that Nancy wanted is in the bill. Doesn’t sound like the vast majority of it made it.

Where are this areas the GOP and President wanted money to go that the Democrats wouldn’t have supported anyways?

How much extra shite do you think the Dems got in there? 500 mill? A billion? Maybe 2?

2 billion of a 2 trillion dollar deal is 0.1%.

If giving the dems a small percentage of the deal gets Americans money 1 week earlier than you do it every time

The partisan Dems would have fought it tooth and nail, regardless of what they might privately favor, and prevented a required 60 vote Senate approval. The math of that in a 100 member Senate is plain.

Like I said in a thread the other day, Democrats run the show for the most part. Even with only the House, they control most of what gets done in Washington.

Democrat politicians are proactive by nature

Republican politicians are reactive by nature

Why the Democrats always set the agenda, narrative, etc and the Republicans are left to react to it.

Here are the major portions of the bill:

Direct payments to individuals

REAL ID deadline delayed
Historic boost for unemployment benefits
$500 billion lending program (under congressional oversight)
Trump businesses can't get money
No money for border wall
Airlines and airports get what they wanted
Hospitals get billions
Contractors and 'gig' workers
Protections against foreclosures and evictions
$25 million for the Kennedy Center
More funding for food assistance
Evacuations of Americans
Peace Corps, diplomatic programs and refugees

What does this mean, DoorDash and UberEats type jobs are absolutely booming right now.

Independent contractors and so-called gig workers will be eligible to receive federal aid. The language could provide additional certainty to millions of part-time workers who drive for Uber or deliver for Amazon, in what has become a major part of the digital economy.

Gone from the stimulus bill are mentions of mandatory early voting, ballot harvesting, requirements that federal agencies review their usage of "minority banks," and provisions curbing airlines' carbon emissions -- a Pelosi demand that even Saikat Chakrabarti, the former chief of staff to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and an author of the Green New Deal, called "ridiculous."

"What's not in the Senate's bipartisan coronavirus bill: Pelosi's outrageous wish list," wrote GOP national spokesperson Elizabeth Harrington. "0 mentions of 'diversity.' 0 mentions of 'emissions.' 0 mentions of 'early voting.' 0 mentions of 'climate change.' Good!"

This segment of the workforce was championed under Obama. I spent about a year trying to participate in it and it is awful.

That is certainly good. I’m glad that stuff was left out. Regarding the other stuff, I guess it’s just something we have to accept.

Excuses. A real man would have stood up and said I'm not selling the Americans further into debt for this and if the economy tanks, then it tanks. It needs to be restarted anyway.

Of course thet doesn't get you reelected, does it? When are you people going to realize Trump pulled the wool over your eyes and you took the bait hard?
