I think handshakes won't be as prevalent.

Hopefully people will wash their hands.
(Two downvotes on hoping people will wash their hands, nice.)

You mean other than China now rules the world?
Nothing other than global communism
Nothing other than global communism

Commercial real estate for office space will crash and never get back to where it was.
This will fundamentally change the society towards stay-at-home.

5 second rule adjusted to 3 second rule

Yesterday I thought "I wonder if this 20 second handwashing thing will stick" and then I shut off the water at about 10 seconds and thought "probably not"

Single payer healthcare within a decade at most

Nothing, people are too self-centered and forgetful for any change to last.

Probably for a while after. I’m going with preparedness, like average non tinfoil hat wearing people stockpiling stuff like hand sanitizer, masks, gloves, etc just in case .

Some will keep a little extra TP and peanut butter at home. Others will learn nothing.

You could even say the pendulum swings that way.

Higher education shifts online.
You Professors and Administration staff had a good run and made a lot of money over a long period of time, but it's over.
It's time to downsize Universities and the enormous cost you have created to view a lecture and gain an education.

I do actually think this will happen.
Office space for many, many industries is such a waste of overhead

Eh, I think it'll go both ways
A byproduct of this will be a ton of people going "frick I want to go back to the office, I'm done with working from home"

I think handshakes and hugs will become less the norm. Might take a while for those to come back. And maybe never as much as we used to. The longer it lasts the lo get they’ll stay away in my opinion.

China isn’t going to rule shite. I hope Americans see what that country released on the world (not calling it biological weapon but it did develop in Wuhan) and how they didn’t do shite at first, and how bad it is economically to depend so heavily on one country for production.

I jumped the gun Sunday and told my 6 year old that the 5 second rule is no more. Wasn't aware it was only slashed by 2 second, good to know.
