"Healthy" New Orleans 45 year old lawyer in ICU...

Mark Frilot took medicines to treat what he thought for several days was a case of the flu, but he just couldn’t turn the corner.
He was spiking a fever nightly. At one point, his wife, Heaven, found him on the edge of their tub talking to himself, delirious.
When he went to East Jefferson General Hospital on Thursday, the staff diagnosed him with double pneumonia and the new coronavirus. And he’s since been sedated and attached to a breathing machine as doctors help him fight the potentially deadly respiratory disease that has caused a worldwide pandemic.

He tested positive for the COVID19. Yeah, but it's probably something else.

Was he also on double secret probation?

A perfectly healthy 40 year old female, friend of mine, died from the flu about 3 years ago. Got sent to a hospital somewhere in Jackson MS and lived for another 3-4 days then passed. Sad situation all around.

ETA: Thinking back she may not have been the one sent to Jackson, that same year the flu claimed the life of a teenage girl my daughter knew, she may have been the one that was sent to Jackson. I knew Karmen well, sweet lady.

Delirium is absolutely a symptom.

I hope he gets well for Heaven's sake.

Are we having a giant news story for every individual case now?
The guy is obese, more like morbidly obese, I’m guessing he has other issues. Willing to bet he is hypertensive or a diabetic

Healthy? Look at the picture of him in the article. He appears to be morbidly obese
Not trying to be callous, but that’s the truth
His wife and son appear to have it as they are running fevers, and they are doing fine

Man this board loves the suffering of other people.

I think a low pulse ox has more to do with his altered state than the fever.
He must have been pretty bad if he went straight on a vent.
