Having just got out of hotel industry a few months ago I really feel for my old colleagues if this happens. Bulk of the hotel revenue they get for salaries, increased staff, renovations, etc come from those big events.

It seems like outdoor events like a parade or music fest would be safer than an indoor event, at least as far as germ transmission is concerned.
