didn't understand why at times he would be taking to james garretson with a hidden camera but then it would cut to him blatantly talking about the murder plot

I also bet the chick who had her arm ripped off now wishes she had sued when she saw Joe's immediate reaction was "I am never going to financially recover from this"

Yeah I mentioned it earlier but they were all over the place timeline wise towards the end and it doesn’t really make sense the way they did it

Think the clips of his interview were after he testified and then the hidden camera was before he testified but they just spliced them all together

Lost it when Joe put a picture of Don up on the screen and said:

"Hey Carol, it's a blast from your past, I'm buried under a fricking septic tank!"

The campaign manager was quite interesting. He seemed to be intelligent and articulate, and he was aware of how crazy everyone around him was, yet he stuck around. I guess he figured it beat going back to Wal-Mart.

The producers got one guy to sit for his interview shirtless. And in one scene, the hit man was interviewed in his bathtub. WTF?

The guy basically knew what days the elections where and Joe was like “goddamn you’re a political genius you want a job”

So I didn’t quite get exactly what happened with Travis’ death. Was it a suicide on purpose or by accident? The build up before that scene seems to show Travis was very unstable and apparently methed the frick out all the time. Was he jokingly pointing the gun at his own head and accidentally pulled the trigger not thinking it would fire? Or did he know the gun would fire?

When does it become suicide. He was methed out all the time so his reasoning skills were shot. He probably had a death wish from depression related to it. False sense of confidence from the drugs. It just happens.

And I'm still trying to wrap my head around Joe getting 16% of the vote in the gov election.

I too was stunned by this, so I looked it up. This restored my faith in humanity a little bit, because I was about to say Oklahoma needs to be tied in with Florida and shipped out, for this alone.

The doc did a poor job imo of articulating the stage of the race, to me I thought it was the governor election. But it was actually the initial libertarian primary where he finished 3rd, garnered 18.7% of the vote, and was eliminated. That 18.7% only comes out to 664 votes.

So you’re forgiven Oklahoma, but we will keep an eye open on you.

Don Lewis picked up Carol on Nebraska Avenue in Tampa which is hooker city. He said he drove around the block 3 times before she got in his ride. She was either a streetwalker and/or he was down there to pick up a whore.

They could make a stand alone documentary about Carol killing Don.

These guys are every bit as shady as any other cult leader. They prey on the weak/vulnerable and young and create an atmosphere that that person cannot go anywhere else and survive.

Joe used drugs and people out of jail with no other prospects

Doc used young women under 20 with no direction or money

Carole used people looking for a cause

This pretty much sums everything up. Seems like Doc was hiring and grooming underage girls. I have a feeling he wasn’t waiting for them to be legal to start having sex with them.

Because Carol had the backing of PETA, she managed to convince people to work a full time six day a week job for her, even had years of training and promotions, and passed the whole thing off as volunteers.

The doc went more into Carol killing her husband than the podcast did. She 100% did it.

There was a moment when it first comes up, and she is talking about how it’s just a good story for newspapers, she turns her head and rolls her eyes. That was the most obvious tell of guilt and that a person is full of shite I’ve ever seen.

This woman broke into the secretary’s office, stole the wills, then produced a new will giving her power over everything, which included something very specific that apparently is not something people put in a will. Cops shrugged their shoulders and were like, “we got nothing guys”.

Add to this that she was the only person on the planet with motive, means, and opportunity, was told a divorce was coming and she was getting nothing, her husband tried getting a restraining order against her which said she threatened to kill him, and gave it to the secretary as evidence of something happened to him.

Oh, and her brother was a cop who worked with the police who were investigating this woman. Carol makes me believe real life magical witches putting spells on people exists. It’s the only way a person like that can have a following that thinks she is a hero, which I think exists to this day.

Really long post that doesn’t come close to getting in to like 90% of the show.

That was just one episode. Didn’t realize it would be a problem to mention the specifics of what that woman was up to. Thought that’s what we kind of did on this board, discuss shite that happened in something we watched.
