I’m on episode 3 and wtf lol is this real? I can’t believe how calm the woman was after getting her arm destroyed by the tiger. That 3 man wedding was the most white trash thing I have ever seen. Carol is that crazy bitch you want to get rid of but you can’t. We have Tony Montana of the animal world and Doc preying on young girls. From reading the comments that it gets crazier after each episode I just can’t imagine. I still can’t get pass making $150 a week working 12 hour days and living in that piece of shite trailer working for Joe. At least Doc got his women living better on his land.

This is some crazy shite. Sometimes you forget about how weird some parts of America are.

You wrote out like 30 minutes of the doc like it was new info.

New info? Is that what you think happens on this board? You are trying to make some point about me breaking down stuff from the show on a message board specifically designed for people to watch tv shows and movies then talk about what happened in those tv shows and movies.

At least if you would have complained about the length of my post, that would have made sense.

The Chris Benoit thing is on Vice right now. God forbid anyone come on this board to discuss the things they saw on that show. If everyone watched it, no need to bring up anything that happened. We all already know cause we saw it.

You didn't break down anything. You wrote this happened and this happened and this happened and this happened and this happened.

Joe comes up to her as she’s laying there without an arm that was just ripped off by a tiger and he calmly says to her “are you okay?” great unintentional comedy

I mean I’d probably ask the same thing. He’s trying to be a calming presence, should he run up to her and go “OH MY GOD YOUR ARM WAS EATEN OFF!!!!”

Jeff at the end...

“Did I set him up? No”

Then goes on to basically describe setting him up

If this was a fictional movie, I don't think I'd enjoy it because of how far-fetched it is.

The wild shite just keeps on coming.

Not to be the "actually" guy but that's not what happened. The tiger mauled her arm but didn't rip it off. She even had limited use of her hand in the hospital but they told her it would take 2 years of surgeries to repair it so she had them surgically amputate and went back to work a week later.

So I didn’t quite get exactly what happened with Travis’ death. Was it a suicide on purpose or by accident? The build up before that scene seems to show Travis was very unstable and apparently methed the frick out all the time. Was he jokingly pointing the gun at his own head and accidentally pulled the trigger not thinking it would fire? Or did he know the gun would fire?

He was a candidate for suicide, but it looked like an accident. What he did is, unfortunately, not uncommon.

He had a semi-auto pistol with a round in the chamber. He took the magazine out and told the campaign manager how it was a Ruger so it would not fire with the magazine out. (The Texas Monthly article said Travis had read this on the internet.)

Well, most semi-autos will fire even with the magazine removed. Some models have what is called a magazine disconnect safety that prevents firing without the magazine. But it is only recently--due to dumbasses like Travis--that more gun makers have started to include it.

Ruger does include the feature on some models, but there are zillions of Rugers out there without it. Many owners disable the feature, so you can't assume it works in a given gun you pick up. The feature is disliked by many. American Rifleman article on magazine disconnects

A girl was killed in north LA a few years ago because a guy thought a Glock had a magazine disconnect. He was going to scare her, so he took the magazine out, pointed the gun at her and pulled the trigger. Boom! She's dead.

They should do public service announcements on TV showing how many pistols will fire even with the magazine removed. Too many people shoot themselves and others because of ignorance on the issue.

I knew someone who died the exact same way. Pointed a gun at his head and said it wasn't loaded and blew his brains out. I always assumed it was essentially an accidental suicide, if that makes sense. Like the guy didn't care if it went off or not and was okay with either outcome. I got the same vibe from Travis.
