Didn't realize the Parks and Rec department managed the neutral grounds.
In New Orleans they have Parks and PARKWAYS department, which covers small and large parks, and maintenance/ landscaping of neutral grounds (which New Orleans has more of than most other places) and street trees.
NORD (New Orleans Recreation Department) is a separate entity that covers playgrounds (not parks) and all types of recreation.
And City Park, despite its name, is its own state-chartered non-city entity.

The current administration is doing everything they can to take the fun out of Mardi Gras. They tried everything they could to prevent Endymion from parading on the Mid City route. They enacted restrictions on throws that will be impossible to enforce. I wonder how many of the decision makers are actually from here. It seems as though they have never been to a Mardi Gras parade.

Yeah, telling rider to try not to throw their trash on the ground, try not to attempt to injure with packs of beads, and tell parade watchers to not hog the neutral ground...
I didn't know acting like an arse was what made Mardi Gras "fun"

You are somehow trying to defend entitled people who just leave shite unattended along a parade route well before a parade rolls to claim a spot. That's as selfish as it gets.
Sounds like these might be the same people that pay for reserved seating at church on Easter. Am I right?

You shut your whore mouth. The last thing LaToya needs to hear is an idea to start charging people for watching a parade.
