Per Southern AD, looks like LSU will play the Jags in 2022

If that is true I will be changing my mind on Woodward very quickly. There is no reason for these two teams to play. It is a bad idea from a strength of schedule/quality win perspective for LSU. It will be dangerous for Southern's players. There will be 0 fan interest in a glorified scrimmage.
I am fine with the Spring Game on SU's campus given the Tiger Stadium turf issues, but an actual football game is a garbage idea.

Yeah, but let's just say there is another team in LSU's division that is virtually guaranteed a better shot at the SEC championship game every year because it plays Tennessee while LSU plays Florida. Let's call that team Alabama. If Southern is on LSU's schedule, there is no opportunity for a mulligan. If there are 5 undefeated P5 teams, the team that plays Southern has an automatic strike against it.
Also, do you know how much season tickets cost? How much the TAF donation is? Why would I want to pay to watch LSU disembody Southern? There is nothing fun about it.

It's hard to ever get excited about these 70-0 type games, but hey at least we're helping out a local BR school I guess financially

These personal attacks are what make the Rant such a cesspool. You disagree with me so I am stupid, a woman, or gay and "melting." What is your actual, thought out response? Do you think this game is good for LSU and/or Southern? If so, why?
This is my opinion. If you want to see the Southern Band, go to a Southern game. If you want to see FCS football go to an FCS game. If you want to see a pointless massacre, by all means, schedule this game.
