200 all at one time? Because most of you badasses in here talking as though that's not a lot know damn well you can't do more than 50-60 at one time without stopping.

If you get rhabdo from 200 pushups, you literally do nothing active in your life

200 seems a little excessive, no ?
when we used to get "punishment PT, as varsity athletes, it wasn't always expected to be done all at once on the spot, ex., left my basketball shoes outside of my locker after practice once(Converse high tops ,) next day I go to dress out for practice, -no shoes, coach comes in carrying them, "looking for these?" he starts counting off all of the grommets/eyeholes in each shoe and says that will be (whatever the number was,) laps, I was thinking around the bb court, no big deal, and he said "around the track, by the end of the week"

This goes to show how exercise can be deadly for people of size. Being large is all genetics

I don't understand why he didn't just say no to the teacher after doing a handful. He was obviously pushing it way too hard on himself
Most people naturally fall under authority, especially kids. Especially in a large group that he’s involved in
I mean I’m sure we all had that one teacher in HS we were terrified of, even tho logically there is nothing that teacher can actually do to you to harm you without repercussions.

Nah, there’s some actual frivolous lawsuits. Maybe fraudulent would be the better term when an uninjured plaintiff lies to the chiropractor about his “symptoms” to generate a BI claim out of nothing.

Sad is that he was hospitalized. It’s called soreness. I’m sure his dad is proud.

Kid got rhabdo
Rhabdo is no joke. Crossfitters used to think it was funny and had a clown mascot named “rhabdo”, but that shite can cause kidney failure. Supposedly the effects are worse in kids too.

similar thing happened at a NOLA private school.....

Rushing was 16 when he hospitalized with muscle and kidney issues after the incident involving the push-ups. Medical testimony indicated Rushing's damaged muscles released an extremely high level of enzymes into his system, which threatened his kidneys and his life if left untreated.
I promise you if this happened to your kid you would raise hell
I also would not name my son with a girl's name though. Tristen is the female spelling of that name. A boy is Tristan.
