Many of them also expect companies to do more politically rather than stick to the sidelines. Three-quarters of 18- to 34-year-olds expect their company to take a stand on issues like immigration, equal rights, and climate change, according to a Glassdoor survey from 2017.

I've seen this happen before at my previous job. The guy definitely wasn't Gen Z though.
He worked there for a few months and one Friday just left all of his shite on his desk and never came back. He didn't even tell anyone

I’ve seen more than a few examples of employers pressing for prospective employees to do this to their current organization after a hire/offer is made
Asking for the normal 2 weeks seems to be harder and harder to do, despite the fact that the company would get pissed if you do it to them in return

frick that noise! I'm not risking my business to segment of half of the population. I don't care if you're Repub or Democrat your money is still green.
I'll continue staying in the middle with no opinion on issues.

These business trend advisors have polluted corporate culture to pander to these kids. Had a CEO that wrote a blog, which I assume is the result of the advice of one of these consulting agencies, and it was cringey as hell.

Unrealistic expectation. I would not hire such an employee. Our nation is about evenly divided on political issues so taking a stand either way potentially alienates half of the populous. The only companies that are able to get away with overt political stances are big companies like Google who have a near monopoly in their market sector.

an employer will lay you off with no prior notice, why should employees offer the employer the courtesy of a notice?
I've never ditched a job without notice nor would I but I've always wondered why that is expected when it is rarely reciprocated.

It seems shitty, but the company can easily fire a worker with no warning. It isn't absurd that it can go both ways.
The days of company/employee loyalty are long gone.

Back in the 80's I got a job at a Mardi Gras store..Just a holiday type job. I was told that the job was stocking the shelves and keeping inventory. The second day a huge truck came in and they told me that I had to unload the boxes of beads. The owner was a real SOB. It was right before lunch. I didn't come back from lunch.
