Lizard Head (James Carville) Dropping Wisdom On The Stupid

I'm am no fan of the Democrats but Lizard Head is a smart guy when it comes to political strategy and he was trying to explain the the Morning Joe crowd why the Democrats are failing and they have a "deer in the Headlights" look on their faces when he had the balls to tell the party how bad they are f-ing up.
On of the panelist, I think Willie, ask Lizard Head why you think people in 40% of the people in NH said they like Bernie Sanders Health care proposal...Carville said THEY"RE WRONG. He went on the say 40% doesn't win elections. 50% is winning and you need to independents.
The Democrats are too stupid to understand that Lizard Head is right.

Bernie and his minions poll their own peer group and think they have universal support for their plans and proposals. They pretty much preach to the choir.

He’s a straight white male. They don’t give a shite what he has to say.

Yes. He was just on a few minutes ago. Morning Joe

Those shows will soon stop booking him.

Looking to New Hampshire to judge whether or not a policy can win the election is the wrong option. The only polls anyone should even look at in 2020 is the Midwestern swing states.

And they won't listen to him.
The Dems are too far gone.

And old, don't forget that one. Straight, white, old, male, boomer... he's the enemy in their eyes (unless they think he can win the Presidency under the Democrat banner, then he's tolerable).

Carville knows what he's talking about. I'm glad they aren't listening to him.

Carville will play the role of Cassandra this cycle, making accurate predictions that no one listens to and gets blamed for them happening.

They will keep having Carrillo on. Too good for ratings

Carville is a political genius whether you like him or not. He got a no-name philandering AR Governor elected president. The left wing of the Democratic Party has the energy and the headlines, but the majority of Dems (like Carville) and left leaning independents (vote and finance democratic candidates) will not nominate Bernie. Biden is fading fast, Mayor Pete can’t win black/brown vote, and Bloomberg and Stacy Abrams will emerge as the Dems best chance. The radical left will feel alienated again. It will be an uphill fight to unseat Trump. Carville gets this 100%.

There was an very candid interview with Carville on Vox.
He knows his stuff. Whether you agree with his politics, he is a smart guy. And loves LSU.
"I want to give you an example of the problem here. A few weeks ago, Binyamin Appelbaum, an economics writer for the New York Times, posted a snarky tweet about how LSU canceled classes for the National Championship game. And then he said, do the “Warren/Sanders free public college proposals include LSU, or would it only apply to actual schools?”
You know how fricking patronizing that is to people in the South or in the middle of the country? First, LSU has an unusually high graduation rate, but that’s not the point. It’s the goddamn smugness. This is from a guy who lives in New York and serves on the Times editorial board and there’s not a single person he knows that doesn’t pat him on the back for that kind of tweet. He’s so fricking smart."

Random factoid... Carville's ancestors founded the town of Carville, La. Back in the day it was famous for being the home of the state's insane asylum. As a young child I heard old Cajun ladies warn their little boys: 'If you don't behave we gonna send you to Carville.' It scared us.

Um, Carville has NEVER been the home of the state's insane asylum.
It had, however, long been the home of a treatment center for Hansen's Disease (leprosy), moving from a private facility in the late 1800s, to a state facility in the early 20th century, to the federal US Health Service during the Depresion. For a brief period in the ’90s (1991 to 1994), Carville even served as a minimum-security federal prison.
Carville's leprosy facilites closed in 1998 after operating for 104 years.

I've been right next to him while he was jogging in New Orleans. He is literally as skinny as a toothpick.
They say "TV adds 10 pounds to a person" so you can imagine how skinny he is in real life!

That's right. The insane asylum was in Pineville. They used the same scare tactic: 'We gonna send you to Pineville. We didn't know where either city was but we didn't want to go there.
