Unisex bathrooms are not inherently un-conservative.

I don’t know. I haven’t used the phrase “policy difference” anywhere in this thread. Ask someone who did.

Why can't these folks just join the Texas republican party rather than a group based upon the bedroom?
There are tons of Republican-affiliated groups. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republican_Party_(United_States)_organizations
The members are still members of the Republican party. Their individual groups are just more focused on specific agendas.

And either of these matter in government how?

Join another group. They're not republicans because of who they have sex with. Join the economic conservative booth, the gun rights booth, etc.

It seems the group was not allowed. Why can't the individuals join? I saw nothing precluding that.
This dispute is about the ability to have an advocacy booth on the convention premises.

But no groups allowed to support gay rights.
And just exactly where are those rights spelled out in the Constitution?

Being a homosexual, or holding any type of sexual preference does not disqualify one from being a Republican.
No one made that claim.
Maybe you misunderstood my point?
How did you interpret what I said?

Every unisex bathroom I have ever encountered was either single use or had floor to ceiling stalls.
"Unisex" bathrooms also was not claimed.

Sooo, join one of those. Those have to be the more defining reasons as to why they are republicans in the first place.

(sigh) They are Republicans that advocate for gay rights/policy.

I understand that. As I said, join a group that advocates for your conservative principles.

If you were politically to the left and held all beliefs common to the Democratic Party, including being a registered Democrat...but the Democratic Party of your state told you that you and those like you (insert demographic here) were literally not allowed to be affiliated with the party.
Thats another big "if".
If my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle.

What rights don't you have Mickey?

See my multitude of comments on the evangelical wing lacking foresight.
It’s too late to fight these battles. We will never go back to being less tolerant of gay, lesbian, transgender, etc etc.

What an irrelevant response.
He asked why this was a mistake. My post was a hypo illustrating how that may play out among those effected by this decision.
