His opening monologue.

At least you’ve already conceded the smugness

I am on a binge of the Sopranos right now. Liking it so much better than the Wire. I also would like some recs.

For some reason I liked The Sopranos much better the second time through. It is on the same level as The Wire for me. See my above post for recs.

Here are a few not mentioned yet:

— “Banshee” (lots of action with guns and women)

— “Strike Back” (see description for Banshee)

— “Lost in Space” (you may need to remember the original corny version to appreciate the modern take on the story”

— “Last Kingdom” (good fictional historical show which several like better than Vikings)

I finished this a couple months ago...it kinda sticks with you afterwards. That's the sign of a great show imo.

I second this. Really liked this show. I feel like it is less well known but very good.

Daniels character is a little smug, but he has a pretty good size character arc and is quite a bit different in the end. But that also just one character, its a large cast with multiple big story lines. He is not even the main character at times.

His opening monologue.

So one monologue makes the show stupid? Got it. If having one stupid monologue makes the entire show stupid, then every show that has ever been made would be considered stupid.

8.6 IMDB rating and...

I thought they were all very good. Season one drags on a little but gets really good at the end. Really cool movie to TV series adaption/transformation imo
