This one list Louisiana will never be mentioned in.
I’ve driven through and stayed a good while in Kansas, Iowa and Indiana and they would be right up there as most boring.

Yep. Those who are saying North Dakota haven’t looked hard enough at what it has to offer

New Orleans to Memphis and vise versa is terrible. Nothing interesting to see on the drive, unless you want to get off the highway for a bit and go to Oxford.
Made the drive from BR to Memphis many times. For whatever reason the flights used to be astronomical (like $1200) from BR or Nola to Memphis 10-15 years ago so I always drove. This was for business and I was typically by myself. It's a boring arse drive for sure.

I lived in Memphis and it was expensive as frick to drive in or out. I would drive to Nashville or Jackson to fly. Jackson was pretty cheap.
But yeah, that drive to Memphis from south Louisiana was brutal. Memphis to Chicago was an awful drive too. Just...nothing. Absolutely nothing from the time you left Memphis until you got to champagne. But, there’s a Culver’s in effingham, IL that I always looked forward to. I think it was the southernmost Culver’s in the Midwest.

I feel the same way about Alabama. If someone says Alabama, they have never been to Mobile, Eastern Shore, and Orange Beach (i.e., South Alabama).

If you wanna see some IRL third world shite, go to the Mississippi Delta.

North Dakota especially just seem like such a bore.
It's not boring, it's hard...on everything.
Played adult drinking softball, lots of drinking...in 20 degree weather.
Learned to snowboard...on ice.
But even old people come out to party, so there's that.

I camped out at LGC...in -10 degrees...

Nevada has lake Tahoe, great mountains to hike, fish, ski. Plus has casinos/vegas. I lived in Nevada 6 years and would move back there in a heartbeat. Still plan to retire on Northshore.
You obviously have never been to Nevada.

I have been to 47 of the 50 states. I can honestly say that I found something cool and fun and unique in each one. And I could tell that there were boring (or just plain shitty) parts in each one.
A state is just too damn big to say it’s boring or it isn’t.
Ex. 1. Kansas. In the middle of the state, sure. It’s just farmland. But Kansas City (the KS side) and Lawrence are great.
Ex 2. Nevada. I had to fly into Reno and drive west for a couple of hours. Jesus... there is NOTHING out there. But Tahoe is gorgeous (and a huge ski/party area) and Vegas.... no explanation needed.

It's not just that it's farmland. Hell, a lot of the South is farmland.
It's the lack of trees.
You'll drive along I70 and get legitimately fricking excited about seeing a grove two miles in your periphery. I know it's already been said in this thread, but that is the most miserable drive one can possibly take.
