How Do O & Bo Know Each Other?

O has mentioned that he has known Bo for a long time and has viewed him as a top coach for a while.
How do they know each other?
Did they coach together at some point?

There's a Carroll connection, from when Pete and Bo coached together at the Pats way back when.

I think Bo and Pete Carroll were also was on the 49ers staff together. Carroll brought Bo with him to the Patriots when he got the HC job.
Carroll has to be the connection. They’ve never coached together, but I guess both fall under the Carroll coaching tree, and probably know a lot of he same people

Huge Carroll connection, and I believe O said on the radio interview yesterday that when he was at USC and Bo was at Nebraska the USC staff went to NU to pick his brain in regards to defending the spread.

Most fans know that Coach O was a coach on a Jimmy Johnson Miami team. I would imagine JJ was proud of O winning a NC at LSU ?
